Hi,

it's a great relief that Airtel took the matter seriously (for details please read my previous thread : 9973857382:Airtel-Nazara Scam-Balance Deducted without information/consent/pemission and actually refunded rs 85/-.

Additionally, Airtel escalated the matter to Nazara.Com, which as a matter of fact contacted me. Mr. Rajesh from Nazara.Com heard my complaint and infact recharged Rs. 402.54 (actual recharge of rs 444.00/-). Honestly, I still cannot believe that airtel and nazara.Com treated this matter diligently and accepted their lapse as well as took corrective action.

To be fair, Mr. Rajesh from Nazara.Com assured me that such deductions wouldn't happen again. I suggested him to bar my mobile number and my mobile's IMIE number so that the scope for any lapse is eliminated. Mr Rajesh concurred with my suggestion/Request. He informed me that he has escalated the my request cum suggestion to the concerned department.

So, for now I am satisfied with the response I got from Airtel and Nazara.Com.

I have my fingers crossed and I hope good sense prevails and these unwarranted deductions are finally over.

Thanks a lot guys at Airtel, Nazara, and of course this forum.

P.S:
MOBILE SERVICE PROVIDERS SHOULD MAKE CONFIRMATION SMS MANDATORY TO START ANY SERVICE OR SO CALLED 'DOWNLOAD'.
ONLY AFTER RECEIPT OF SUCH EXPLICIT APPROVAL SMS, THEY SHOULD PROCEED TO DEDUCT THE APPROPRIATE AMOUNT FROM THE MOBILE ACCOUNT BALANCE.
THIS WOULD NOT ONLY BRING IN TRANSPARENCY BUT IT’LL HELP ELIMINATE THE PROBLEM OF UNAUTHORIZED DEDUCTION AND HELP MAINTAIN FAIR TRADE PRACTICE.
