Hello.
My name is Gautam Naroji, and am facing problems with my Airtel number 9766649251. I had placed for a Mobile number Porting request from Airtel to Vodafone on 13th December 2012, as I was facing network issues with Airtel around my region i.e. Morjim, North Goa. The request was never tended to and I started facing lot more issues with connectivity after the request was placed. The range on my cell would drop suddenly, the calls would get dropped often and it always tried to register the sim after every few minutes. Nothing was done after calling Airtel CSR and they have not even processed my Porting Request. I placed another MNP request on 21st Jan, 2012. Its already been 8 days since my second request and still my number has not been ported to Vodafone. I called up Airtel yesterday and spoke to a senior CSR, who told me he will get the necessary actions done by today, but I have still not received any call regarding the same on my alternate number 7507171781 which was submitted to him so that he can get in contact with me as my Airtel number was having problems. This has become really frustrating. My questions :
1) Why do we have to suffer poor services from these network providers?
2) Why wouldnt Vodafone hustle up and try and get my number ported? Event after having paid them 250 INR to activate Postpaid connection on that number at the Mapusa, Goa branch. I already lost 25 INR (for new simcard) for my request of MNP placed on 13th December at the same branch.
3) Why is Airtel putting its customers through such an ordeal even after I have been a loyal customer of the company for more than 4 years. I have been complaining about bad services from the same for a long time now and they have not done anything about it.
I hope Consumer Court Forum would help me get things right and put an end to this recurring nightmare.
