The great telecom giant has tall claims about its services which have turned out to be all false promises, The beautiful ads on TV do not translate into beautiful services. It is with a tinge of sadness that I write this post, as my wife and i are both existing airtel customers and have recommended this service to many friends ourselves.
Airtel had me cough up Rs 8000/- in cash when i urgently required International Roaming facility. They were a stickler for rules and quoted various policies and eventually activated the service , once the payment was made. However, the same rule toting corprate honchos have not returned the deposit money after I surrendered the mobile phone THREE AND A HALF MONTHS AGO. They even refused to adjust the bill for the last month of Mar 10 in the deposit money and assured me that the deposit would be reutrned within 45 days of bill payment. However, it is past 100 days and all I have is a list of complaint no.s and dates.
Overall, it has been a very disappointing services as rules seem to apply only to customers and not the service provider. Flow of money seems to be only one way traffic with Airtel.
