    Default Airtel-worst service provider

    AIRTEL;this is one of the worst service providers ever seen in my life amongst all the companies existing and running in India.I have been hearing from many subscribers and experiencing the same.A recent instance added more agony after recharging my cell no-9955192862 on 4.8.2010 with Rs.98.00 pack for emergency network connection (as I have already BSNL broadband-unlimited plan) but to my utter surprise,the company has failed to send the 'Settings"to save ,a mandatory updating process,reasons best known to the company itself.Neither the Customer Care nor its dealer take pain to attend my frequent calls.
    May someone help me to get rid of this problem.

    Default Airtel is world's worst service provider...

    I am a customer of Airtel since 2005 and my number was 9872619010, I used it for 5 years and had been very punctual in all my bill payments. It was in 2010 November that I requested to stop my number but to no avail, so I used it another month and had a bill of Rs 2700 which was late in getting paid because I had shifted to another place. Airtel customer care was after us to get the bill paid, they gave many threatening calls at my number and to the cell numbers I had been frequently calling, i.e my family. So finally we got the bill paid for which a man from Airtel office came to our home to get the money collected and my Dad made him write and sign a paper stating that the number will be closed and handed over the sim to him. After that 9872619010 was history for us and we had no connection with that number. It was a case closed..!
    Now after some months I start getting the bill details of the same number at my email and the bill ranging from 6,000 one month and within 2-3 months it got over 12,000. When I checked the email(containing the bill of 12,000) on May 27, 2010, I immediately called the Customer Care and informed them that I had been using the number from many years but got it closed some months ago and I am still getting such heavily billed emails, so that means that the number is being misused by someone, and wanted the number to be immediately closed otherwise I don’t bear any responsibility for the same. The customer care boy said Ok the number will be closed as soon as possible. Now I want 5 answers from them.

    1. When Rs 2700 (my last payment) bill was over due, the customer care was calling at my and my family’s number 24/7 to get the payment. As the credit limit was exceeding. So were the Customer care of Airtel sleeping when the bill shoot up till 12000 ???

    2. What is the meaning of Credit Limit ? I still remember my number being temporarily disconnected when I was late in paying Rs 700 bill . So when the number was being misused and even after my informing, How did the bill got so out of control without being disconnected? Does Airtel accept bribes from ingenuine people ?

    3. The Friends and family numbers- I had been using this number from 5 years and Airtel must be having a record of my 5 years’ bills (I have it in case they don’t have it) and Airtel knows the frequent numbers I had been calling all these years… I challenge Airtel to show me even one of the numbers in the bill dated after my closing the number. The person misusing the number has called continuously only on 2 numbers, which never listed in 5 years of my talking from this number. Why doesn’t Airtel call those numbers and inquire about the person calling or get the details of the numbers being called by that number???

    4. Why was the number not closed after repeated requests? First in the month of October I made a request of closing down the number but to no avail then I requested to close the number in November but to no avail, then finally we made the final payment in December and got the number closed from our side. Still WHY was the number still working? So that Airtel people sell it illegally???

    5. Why the harassment? The Customer care of Airtel is so ridiculously disrespectful. The boy who called a senior citizen in my family said to him “Tu ta buzurg aa, koi sharam kar” in Punjabi. Meaning “You are an old man, have some shame”. The Customer care has also misbehaved with one the senior citizen, a lady and we have all the proofs of that too. I say Airtel and that boy should have some shame! They are giving me all the reasons to take them to court.

    6. The Airtel representative who took the last payement from us, gave us in writing that he has taken the sim and will be closing the number, with this and other proofs which will justify my case, I can give a good answer to Airtel. But I wanted the thing to be sorted out peacefully.

    7. The Customer care representative who called us, we have explained all the situation to them, still they call daily and act as if they don’t know anything, which is so very irritating and annoying, they keep calling my friends and family numbers(which I used 9 months ago when I was using the number) and are trying to spoil my reputation, being a girl I can take them to court also on this behalf, so its better they stop spreading their bullshit everywhere as soon as possible. Why does Airtel keep such illiterate people as their Customer care?

    Now I want a reply from Airtel as soon as possible or I will take them to court and will want no further correspondence with them in future and also get 6 numbers disconnected (which I and my family are currently using) also of Airtel !

    We have had a pathetic experience with Airtel and will share our experience with others as well… so that Airtel doesn’t fool anymore innocent people...

    Angry airtel worst service

    I use airtel prepaid sim.My mobile num is 9944717968.on Jan i put 197 call cutter and msg card also..today onwards we send 100 sms only.but we did not receive any notifications..i send msgs but my main balance also reduced.so i put again 49 msg card.i call customer service but they didnot provide response well..so pls change my 49 rs into my main balance account.....

    have you ever googled "worst service airtel" in google ? try it see how "good" your brand has become !

    Angry Mobile Portabilty

    I have AIRTEL service.I had applied for mobile portability for my number twice.Bharati airtel rejected my approval twice,In that message states that "due to there are subsisting contractual obligation from the subscriber agreement".This is second time even if i ask to the customer Representative they are giving some stupid explanation as you were accepted offer call.my number, # 9789707703,port id (AT127275 RECEIVED ON 29/03/2011,AT599497 RECEIVED ON 29/03/2011).Please help me, To whom i have to complaint.I have never seen such a worst service in my life time.

    Thumbs down worst service provider ever

    Im using airtel this is having worst service provider. They charge unnesisarily. Start any service without permission . I hate airtel

    Default chennai airtel worst in city

    Dear Team,

    I am send more mail & phone call discussion about internet pack.

    My mobile number for 9790686321.

    Issues for :-

    Before 24th oct 2011 I am using airtel prepaid plan. After 25 th I am using postpaid plan.

    Calls & Sms no issues, Internet browsing issues for I have browsing error message shown : Dear Customer, Your internet pack low balance, Kindly recharges immediately.

    IF POST PAID CONNECTION, HOW TO COME THIS MESSAGE.

    I am call more time in 121 & 198 & 12118, everyone told call some this numbers. Anyone not solve this problem.

    I can forward mail to consumer court compliant within 12 hours, if not solve this issues.

    Airtel service in worst in India.
