Respected Sir,
I am Martin V M, a resident of Ramwadi, Pune. I have been using an airtel connection (number 8600160652) for the last four months. I am really fed up with the poor service of airtel. On one side, due to the lack of proper network coverage I cannot often use this well. On the other they are deducting money in the name of various services activated without asking the permission of me.
On Sept 20, 2011, at 3.44 pm I got a message from no AD-54321, telling "thanks for using Airtel GYAN subscription. You have been charged 10 Rupees." I never know, what "nonsense service" is this. I tried to contact the customer care for many time. My calls were abruptly cut many times. I was charged even for complaining about the injustice of the company. But my complaint was not even listened properly. I was tortured mentally in waiting in the queue for long time to attended by the customer care executive. Finally i gave up thinking that this won't be repeated.
On Oct 10, 2011 today at 12.03 pm I received another message from the number AD54321
"thanks for using Cricket India Subscription Service from Airtel.You have been charged Rs 10." I have never asked for any such service. Again I tried to call the customer care executive between 1.30 and 2.15. pm. to the various numbers like 121, 198, 1982 etc. Only once a customer care executive attended my call, But never gave me any reply. I am really fed up with the service of the company.
I had a similar experience from Reliance with which I stopped using their service. I know many of my friends who have such painful experience from Airtel and Reliance.
I know DND may be a possibility to stop the unwanted service. But that will block the messages sent by friends through internet.
I would like to bring your attention to the fact that a huge amount of money is being inappropriately and unjustly eaten up by this telephone companies from the poor people of India, who do not even understand the meaning of the messages sent to them of deducting the money from their account. There is no use in complaining them often.
I kindly request you to consider my petition and take necessary action to get my money back with sufficient compensation for the mental agony and harassment. Please take necessary step to stop the unjust practice of the telephone companies.
