    Default BSNL fail to deliver DND support

    Well i always reveived SMSes on my mobile (BSNL). These are all the commercial SMSes from various providers (Big Bazar, VLCC to name a few). Thing is like u never notice the senders no. u can only see something like TM-BigBazar as SMS sender. I have successfully registered my mob in DND registry. please check http://ndncregistry.gov.in for more info.

    Anyways here is the transcript of the mail i sent to the TRAI/DND ppl. the mail is on quotes.

    Hello there,
    I have registered my mobile 94*******2 in the DND registry by the proper way a year ago. But till the date i am facing UCC through SMS. I am receiving SMSes from various service providers & of various sorts. The no of SMSes are increasing day by day. I just don't understand how to stop it.

    This morning i checked my no. in DND registration check on the following link : National Do Not Call Registry User Registration.
    The records are showing the no is on DND registry Database.

    My service provider is BSNL. I've contacted the BSNL customer care hundreds of time & told them my problem. But BSNL people are doing nothing more then taking my requests. Every time i ask them for the complaint no, they say, they don't have a complaint system for the DND related matters. They can only accept requests from the customers.

    I have no idea what do now, hence i am mailing you. Request you to take a proper action at your earliest.
    Well BSNL is most pathetic organization exist on earth. They got no proper system for the CC. its chaos everywhere. Try calling BSNL CC sometime & u will realise it. the most funny thing is that, after lots of arguments with the CC ppl i got the local BSNL AGM's no who handles the DND matters. I called the AGM & told him the problem. Guess what, the guy asked me Whts DND? (mind it AGM means Assistant General Manager ). & told me to to go to particular local office & contact Mr.abc & Mr.XYZ for this matter. He alsi suggested it will be better if u give them complaint in written manner. I hung up the fone after that. Now i have not slightest idea what to do.

    Anyways,
    I was on TRAI's website & stunbled uopn this page. TRAI :::::::

    I was able to obtain BSNL nodal officers email from there & i informed my problem to the nodal officer. lets see what happen.

    BTW any one can check whether their no is in the DND database or not by visiting this link

    A customer may register unsolicited commercial communications related
    complaint by sending SMS to 1909 in the format given below-

    “COMP TEL NO XXXXXXXXXX, dd/mm/yy, Time hh:mm”

    sWhere XXXXXXXXXX – is the telephone number or header of the SMS, as
    the case may be, from which the unsolicited commercial communication
    has originated.
    The customer complaint shall be registered and acknowledged by providing
    him a unique complaint number through SMS.
