My self Biju Koshy T, serving in Indian Navy. I was having postpaid connection of Vodafore service with number 9966612463 which i took it from Visakhapatnam (AP). I was selected for the deputation at USA at Embassy of India for a tenure of 03 years and my deputation formalities was completed in Mumbai before departing to USA. I called the customer care and informed them to close the account. I also went to Vodafone store near fountain Mumbai and requested them to close the account as i will not be using this account for another 03 years, but they told that view the account belong to Andra Pradesh they could not process the request and told me to dial up 198 and close the account. According to their instruction i talked to customer care regarding the deactivation they told to pay Rs 430 (minus the Security deposit). i went to vodafone store at mumbai atleast 7-10 times for finalisation of account and to close the account they did not finalised the account and they have instructed to follow the customer care through 198 being no data available in their system. After calling the customer care atleast 10-20 times as per their guide lines i have deposited the remaining amount of Rs 430/- ie Rs 500 less than my actual bill (being my security deposit as per the instruction of Vodafone deligates). After that i have mailed to vodaforne customer care numerous time telling that i have paid your bill and kindly de activate the account. But from then every time i am mailing them they are giving some other feed back and keeping the account open and i get a feedback from one or the other personnel who is dealing with the customer care
that plese pay the remaining balance for finalisation of the bill. Now as I have been transferred to USA and cannot use the vodafore service still i find that my bill is being generated. After repeated mail to customer care i am getting the same answer, it is from my side i am taking initiative for cooperation and closing the accout they are harrassing me with the same answer.
i have kept copies of all the mails i have forwareded to Vodafore and despite requesting them through emails new executives are replying with out even studying the issue as harrasing me mentally and financially. then i got no option rather than mailing to consumer form regarding the fact to stop the connection from 30 Jun 10. i have forwarded my contact number in case of any problem but no one turned up in lieu they are sending the reply to emails with the same story with out even reading the mail what i have send them.
Sir, I request you to please look into the matter and give me a favourable decision.
