Fake call from pakistan at least country code say so (+92)

I got missed call from number +923462038343 on 31th August 2010 .when i dialled the number but no one pick the phone,

This is very dangerous.

I had received a miss call from +92300433917 today morning. Since it seems to be a number from Pakistan and it looked like a faked call i did not called back.
Had called vodafone customer care to give the said information and also to complaint that when i had taken my new connection (9920833326) i had checked if its a new series number or reused number
I was infomred at time of taking new connection that its a new series number & not reused one

The customer care agent informed that he has made a note of the missed call complaint which i made and asked me to visit vodafone store to recycle my number, to which i categorically asked did that meant getting a fresh number, to which the agent informed that some process is carried on same number itself and the word "recycle" is the code for same

On visiting the vodafone store, it was told to me that there was no concern comments noted down in their system for the call made in morning to report of the missed call which seemed to be a fake call. The only note made by customer care agent was "customer informed to visit store".

The agent at store at my insistence made a note of the missed/fake call complaint/concern along with the number mentioned above. Was also informed to call back the vodafone customer care to know on which number i had received a miss call since i had a call divert activated done of my another vodafone number (9920033376) for getting all calls on my new connection (9920833326). Reason given that store does not has the options to check the system for incoming numbers

On calling back the vodafone customer care i was told to visit the store again for getting incoming call details as they don't have the system to provide the incoming call details. On informing that i was asked by store itself to call at vodafone customer care & insisting to speak with floor/team manager my call was kept on hold to be transferred to the manager. To my utter dissaray the call got cancelled and had to call back again & again provide all the details to new customer care agent and only on insisting a lot the call got transferred to the floor supervisor

The floor supervisor also mentioned that no details of incoming can be provided by them and assured that my concern on the missed/fake call would be noted by them and he would look into the false communication being passed to me by agents.

Would request that vodafone looks into this, since they themselves have issued a warning on fake calls from unidentified number starting with +92, as per news report appearing in CIOL website dated Feb 02, 2010

I got a missed call from +923014085959 on 20th Dec 2010 at 1.21 pm.I tried calling but i dont have ISD calling so could'nt found out.Then i checked out on the net ,the no.is from pakistan.I want to lodge a complaint against this. where do i do it? pls help.

I received a call from this number.

A man informed me that my number has been selected for cash prize of 25 Lacs!!
I realized this was a FAKE CALL & disconnected.

IF any of you receive such a call disconnect immediately... before these people get any extra information about you.

I too received a miss call from +923417433711 yesterday. When called back on same number today afternoon..He introduced himself to me as Ravi. He said he is calling from Vodafone office, Bandra and told me that i have won cash prize of Rs. 25 lakh and asked me not to tell it to anyone... He later on gave me a number +923044477261 and asked me to speak to Vijay supervisor in Bomaby office... but i knew that 92 is not India's country code..
When i googled i got to know that i m not the only one... there are too many more who have got the calls in past..
What is this exactly happening?? Can anyone help me?

I got fake call from +923215996049 saying that your airtel number is selected for the lottery of 10 lacks, and was asking if you have 8991 number on ur sim then call me back otherwise no need to call back......i figured out that its a fake call and disconnected....please be alert...

I got miss cal from 923215996049 i call back to this no. He told me he is speaking from lakhnow and i win lottery of 50 lack. When i search on google it is found this no. Form pakisthan so i think this is fake call please don 't respond to such call and dont give any u r information;

He said he is calling from Airtel office, Bandra and told me that i have won cash prize of Rs. 25 lakh He later on gave me a number +923055500365 and asked me to speak to Ekesh Verma supervisor in Bombay office... but i knew that 92 is not India's country code..
When i google i got to know that i m not the only one... there are too many more who have got the calls in past..

I received a missed call from the number +92 3056286475 which I came to know is from Pakistan. This call came on 21.06.11 at 15:16 hours. I didn't receive the call as it was an ISD no. I am tensed about this matter.So, please enquire about the same....

I have also received miss call from Pakistan, today I have also picked the phone however the caller disconnected the phone and I was not able to hear anything.

i received a missed call from the number +923038534806 ..
i was going to recieve a call from egypt so i thought that was the call and i called back
but he (sunil kumar) told me that it was from airtel, prizer office bandra ...and that i had won a lottery worth 25000 rs.... and that i should call back on the number +92300511925848 to speak to head super visor vijay kumar for further information..
i am aware that these types lottries don't really exist ..but i want to see till what extent these people go.. so i called on that number and spoe to vijay kumar who asked me to deposit 15000 as tax in any state bank account......imagine thier guts....
anyway ... i knew there was something majorly fishy so i check on the internet and lo and behold ... it was a major FRAUD happening... so many people have been duped..and it says that these numbers are from pakistan...
i am sure this call will be charged heavily as other people have also said that their balance has been charged a ISD call
i have written a grievance to the telecom ministry and also airtel presence...
i would really request the ministry and the airtel to look into this matter as soon as possible..
the money that has gone on the call is okay for me.. atleast since i am educated and have internet access - i did not fall prey to this fraud.. but what about people who dont' have such knowledge
the ministry and airtel need to be more vigilant...

I got call from a pakistani number +923025269335 on 12/7/2011.
I didn't receive it, so it was a miss call. 2-3 month ago I also got this type of call from pakisani number.

Is It any kind of threat ? ie. Mobile haking etc..

today i receive a call from the above number nd they said that,iam talking frm mumbai head office and u have won the lottery of cash prize of rs 10 lakhs.........nd they gave me the number of any guy namely SUNDER SINGH,manager of SBI bank in new delhi.....first i dnt undrstand,bt when i call on that number(number is00923417515230,person on line said that give ur account number but i refuse.....so they said me to deposit rs16000 in our account to get the proof slip/...................

He said he is calling from Mumbai Finance Office from Airtel, and told me that i have won cash prize of Rs. 10 lakh and asked me not to tell it to anyone... He later on gave me a number 00923417586726 and asked me to speak to Prithviraj supervisor in and tell him to open 12 No. file and get lottery number for further procedure... but when I called on that number, dialer tone was ringing but no one picked phone. I informed about this to earlier number. He said switch off your phone for full night and switch on phone at 8.39 A.M. in morning and immediately contact supervisor for further procedure. I asked why so, he said it would be easy to verify my phone details. I refused to switch off the phone. Then he said no problem and disconnected phone. When my father tried to contact on the earlier phone to find out the person, the phone was not getting connected.
When i googled i got to know that i m not the only one... there are too many more who have got the calls in past..

on 24 aug 2011 i got 3 calls from pskistan-923474468783.first two was missed call and third call i picked up but suddenly got disconnected.airtel people must look into this.this could be dangerous.is this any kind of hacking if so it could lead to serious problem.
