    Default Forced activation of services and deduction of balance by aircel, Hyderabad

    On 17th August 2010, i received an SMS on my Aircel number 8801781270 from the number 57000 saying that Friends Zone had been activated on my number and Rs. 30 for 30days were deducted from my account. This service was activated on my number without my consent. In first place I use a touchscreen mobile .When I receive a call I dont unlock the phone.Hence there isn't a remote possiblity of me pressing any number to activate any service while receiving a call when my keypad is not displayed at all. Hence I have never subscribed to any service.Secondly I don't want to pay for a service I am not interested in.I request refund of deducted amount as soon as possible. Now I am afraid of even recharging my aircel mobile. This has reinstated my confidence in BSNL prepaid which I have been using for 5 years. I never faced such a case with them.

    Please find enclosed the complaint redressal process for your reverence.

    Step 1: Call us at AIRCEL care on 121 (toll free) from your AIRCEL mobile phone or 9700012345 from your landline or visit any of our AIRCEL stores for any assistance.
    (Whenever you log a complaint, you will get your docket number and complaint resolution time through a SMS).

    Step 2: Email us at care.andhrapradesh@aircel.co.in and we will help you to quickly resolve the issue.

    Step 3: If you did not get a satisfactory response within the timelines, you can contact the Nodal officer on 9700199209 with the docket number anytime from Monday to Friday (9.30 am – 6 pm).Alternatively you can email him at nodalofficer.andhrapradesh@aircel.co.in . She will acknowledge your complaint in 3 working days and try to resolve at the earliest.

    Step 4: If you are not pleased even with the Nodal officer’s response, you can further make an appeal to our Appellate authority on 9700199010 with the docket number anytime from Monday to Friday (9.30 am – 6 pm).Alternatively you can email him at appellate.andhrapradesh@aircel.co.in. He will close your appeal in 3 months from the date of filing.

    Service providers have to follow certain guidelines and they cannot cross the line beyond that. There has to be the customer consent for such activations. You can get rid of this by activating the DND service. Hence there would be no more promo calls and no unwanted activations, good luck.
