I am using my Idea Cellular Post paid No.-9540445008 since 2009.
I use to pay my mobile bill online that to direct debit from my ICICI bank A/c.
In the month of Oct 2011 when bill was generated I was surprised when I saw my bill. The bill includes an extra amount of Rs 199 against a plan named IMS Night Plan. Then I saw previous bills and came to know that this plan charges was also included in the bill of Sep 2011. I immediately called Idea Customer care about this and asked about how this plan is activated. Nether I called nor sent any sms to activate any service. The customer care told me that their executive called and I agreed to activate this plan which I never did.
I asked to deactivate this facility and make sure that in the next bill it should not be added and adjust the excess amount which I have already paid against the facility charges.
But in the bill of Nov 2011 again these charges were added in the bill instead of adjusting the excess amount. I again called customer care but they don't respond positively. I wrote to grievance.delhi@idea.adityabirla.com and appellate.delhi@idea.adityabirla.com. But they replied that the amount paid for two months and unpaid amount of the third month also against the plan cannot be waved off from the bill.
I was also out of Delhi during that period on official tour and then my grandmother expired I went to my native place directly. I didn't pay the bill of month of Nov 2011. They also blocked Online payment options. The Idea discontinued services to my No.
When I came back I went to Idea Outlet in Mahipalpur. They agreed to wave off Rs 500-600 and told me to pay the balance amount which I agreed. I asked to take the payment but they told me that they will call and tell me when and how I have to pay the amount.
Then on 21/01/2012 I got a call from Idea about my payment and they told me that tomorrow my No. will be permanently disabled if I don't pay the bill. I told them about about the issue. They asked me to pay Rs1000 at once and Rs 600 they will wave off and also ensured me that my No. will be activated in 2 days. I asked them how I have to pay as my online payment option in Idea site is disabled. They gave me an account Id and Password for online payment (ID-9891005215). I immediately paid Rs 1000 to the given details.
But when my No. didn't started I called customer care from my landline yesterday (29/01/12) he told me that my number will start by 1300hrs on 30/01/12. I again called Customer care when my No. didn't start. They said that yet Rs 600 payment is balance and they cannot activate my No. unless I am not going to pay the balance.
First they activated a facility themselves. Secondly stopping services of the No. This is very horrible to suddenly stop contact No. which a person is using for a long time. Then after agreeing for Rs 600 reduction in bill and paying for the actual usage bill not activating my No. This is mental harassment.
I want to continue with the same No. Kindly help me out of this problem.
