Sub: (i) Complaint against illegal deduction of monthly ‘Caller Tune Charges’.
(ii) Complaint against Unwanted/Irritating/Nuisance messages.

I am using your Hutch/Vodafone services since from 17.11.2005. Without my request for Caller Tunes you have come deducting ‘Caller Tune Charges’ @Rs. 30/- per month which amounts to Rs. 1,290/- (Rupees one thousand two hundred & Ninety only) till June’2009. Following are few instances for your reference:

Caller Tune has been deactivated on 13.07.2008 vide my request (Message received from 56789 same day). Again you have started deducting unauthorisedly without my knowledge & request the Caller Tune Charges @30/- per month from 13.10.2008 even after deactivating the services. Again on 11.06.2009 I have received a message from Vodafone saying that “Daily Rental of Rs. 1/- has been deducted towards Caller Tune. To move to Monthly Rental Charging maintain a minimum balance of Rs. 30/-“.

So, I herewith request you to repay whatever the amount you have deducted so far towards “Monthly Caller Tune Charges” without any delay to avoid any legal action & stop Unwanted/Irritating/Nuisance messages henceforth.

With further reference to my complaint letter dated 29.06.2009 which has been accepted by you on 30.06.2009 and also on 13.07.2009, I would like to bring to your attention once again the following things..

1. I am using your Hutch/Vodafone services since from 17.11.2005.
2. Without my request for Caller Tunes you have come deducting ‘Caller Tune Charges’ @Rs. 30/- per month since from 10.03.2008, even probably from beginning itself without my knowledge!.
3. Caller Tune has been deactivated on 13.07.2008 vide my request (Message received from 56789 same day). Again you have started deducting unauthorisedly without my knowledge & request the Caller Tune Charges @30/- per month from 13.10.2008 even after deactivating the services. Again on 11.06.2009 I have received a message from Vodafone saying that “Daily Rental of Rs. 1/- has been deducted towards Caller Tune. To move to Monthly Rental Charging maintain a minimum balance of Rs. 30/-“.
4. Again on 11/06/2010, I received a message from VX-VODAFONE Message Centre (+919886005452) saying “Hello, To continue enjoying service/bonus card benefits, maintain a minimum balance of Rs. 30 in your account before your next monthly rental which will be charged on …..”. Accordingly, as soon as I recharged on 14/06/2010 the amount has been deducted without my notice and when I tried to make urgent call, I have left with no balance in my account. I am receiving nuisance calls like this from VX-COPYWIN Message Centre +919886005451 & one such message received on 14/06/2010. Same set of messages received on 12/05/2010 & 10/05/2010 also.

The above acts of yours shows the arrogance in not stopping the illegal deductions towards Caller Tune Charges & not returning back the illegal deductions you have made in my account.



By your carelessness & nuisance act, I have incurred a huge revenue loss to the tune of Rs. 26,680/-, the details of which are furnished as below:-

Caller Tune Charges Deductions - Rs. 1,680.00 (56 months @30/- p.m.)
Business Loss - Rs. 25,000.00

Apart from this, I am facing mental agony & lot of time has been spent so far for lodging complaints keeping all important works aside, that too without any outcome.

So, I herewith urge you to repay whatever the amount you have deducted so far towards “Monthly Caller Tune Charges” without any further delay to avoid any legal action & stop Unwanted/Irritating/Nuisance messages henceforth.
