I have sent SMS for number portability to Vodafone on 14/1/12 for getting required UPC code which is mandatory for applying with desired service provider for switching over with my existing no. 9742033312.
As I failed to get UPC code from Vodafone , called 198 on 17/1/12 to register my complaint. They have declined registering my complaint but registerd my request for number portability . I also have received an SMS from Vodafone on the same day confirming they will revert back to my query by 20/1/12. meanwhile I have received 3-4 calls from vodafone requesting withdrawal of my request. I have declined to do so as I am VERY UNHAPPY with the quality of their network.
Till date I have not received the UPC code which I am supposed to get immediately post my SMS for portability for applying a connection with my prefered operator with same no. Vodafone is violating the TRAI guidelines . I am forced to pay for a service which does not allow me an uninterrupted mobile service . Every time they are taking 24 hrs time stating their server problem. Few min back I called 198 for clarifications and again they requested for further 24 hrs. I need Consumer Forum intervention for get my UPC code for change of service provider under number portability at the earliest.
