    Default Tata Docomo activates unwanted services without customers knowledge

    Dear Sir/Madam,

    I have topped up my prepaid tata docomo number 9029259763 with 100 rupees on 23rd July 2010 and on 24th July 2010, I received a sms saying your buddy chat service has been renewed and renewal charges are Rs 30.00.

    Similar message was received on 22nd July 2010 saying your buddy chat service has been renewed for 2 days and Rs 2.00 and after that I tried calling Tata Docomo customer care but could not reach them. Every time when I called customer care, I was stranded (on hold for more then 30 mins) and could not reach them. Finally I was able to talk to CC person (Anita) on 25th July at around 11.00 am. When I tried explaining her about the fact that I had never subscribed for buddy chat service, she was not ready to accept that. I told her to put me on line to senior authority person; having said yes she kept me on hold for more than 10 mins and finally I was not patched with senior authority person.

    I again tried calling CC, after trying for more than 10 times I could connect to CC. This time it was Poonam. She was at least able to understand my problem and put me online with her senior authority person Swati. The senior person did not accept the fact that I had not subscribed for buddy chat service.

    I don’t know what to do, as I always keep on receiving the sms from the buddy chat services and it’s very frustrating.

    I had also requested Tata Docomo CC person to stop this service and she denied doing the same. She said it’s a paid service and you have to do it your self buy dialing in the number 543216 and for which you will be charged at 5p/sec.

    I tried calling up 543216 and followed the instruction provide through voice recording message to stop the service twice but could not get success as the long recorded message kept repeating and my balance got drained out. First time Rs. 10.00 got deducted and second time Rs. 8.00 got deducted but the service hasn’t stop.

    I am fed up with the TATA DOCOMO's unethical and irresponsible behavior, this has caused me a mental harassment and financial loss. I want the refund for the loss that has happened and also to take some legal action against the TATA DOCOMO.

    Please do the justice. Let me know if you need any other information

    Angry Tata Docomo activates unwanted services without customers knowledge

    Though the Tata DOCOMO customer care person contacted us after a weak, he was neither ready to help us by inactivating the service nor ready to speak anything about refund of money.

    The Customer care person gave us the number 543216 and the option to be selected after that (4 then 6 and then 2). They were not ready to inactivate the service and kept saying that you have to do it as you have subscribed for it.

    I am still not able to understand the service which I haven’t subscribed for, why should I bear the loss for it.

    I have inactivated service by self for which rupees 7 to 8 were deducted from my account; again a loss. And nobody is talking for refund of money.

    The only thing which i could understand is the company / service providers care only for money and not for customer. They have adopted a good practice of making money fast by fooling customer in such a way.

    Is there someone who can teach these guys a proper lesson, which they would remember for ever?

    This is very cheap for TATA’s to follow such a practice

    Docomo has activated buddy chat ser.
    I hv cntcted customur care many time to deactivate but no
    response . They deducted my balance many time , so please deactivate this service

    Same thing has happened with me too.
    They simply activate services which we haven't subscribed at all and charge for that service and we are not able to deactivate.
    what the **** are they upto
    They should stop doing this.

    Default Same Problem with My Tata Docomo Prepaid number too

    Services which we have not confirmed have been activated automatically on 3 occassions over the last few days. I had called the CS and even sent a mail to them asking them to deactivate the same and refund the amount. While the amount for the Feng Shui pack was refunded immdly, the customer service says the amount towards the Jokes Pack cannot be refunded because its more than 72 hours.. I have not used any of the packages and donot intend to use any value added services. Today another pack for Chat was activated automatically and another Rs 30/- was deducted and I was forced to have a heated debate with the CS and got to speak to a senior official. He had agreed to refund the Rs 30/- towards this pack and also the Rs 30/- towards the Jokes pack. Your CS and the Sr. Official adamantly told me that the money would not have been deducted if I had not opted for the same.. If this is true, why are there so many complaints on this forum against Tata Docomo. Its something the Sr. Officials need to take note of and try their best to resolve immdly. I have been a Tata Customer for many years now and have Tata Broad Band, Tata Sky, Tata Wireless, Tata Data Card and the Tata Docomo and after the first and very bad experience with Tata Docomo Service I am now forced to think if I have trusted TATA too much. I would appreciate if the Sr. Officials from the Tata Docomo team take note of this problem and help put an end to this menace. Thanks.

    Default Tata docomo unwanted activation of service and money deduction.

    My tata docomo number is 8097807645. On 19th dec2010 my balance got deducted by 10 rupees. I called customer care and they told me that some india africa service activated due to which balance got deducted I asked for refund but they refused and said no more deduction will take place. again after my recharge 10 rupee balance deducted I am very frustated and want refund. I have not got any sms from this alert service neither I activated it.so please refund my money.

    I want to deactive buddy chat immdiately and refund back my 30 rupees. please do not activate for any delights which customer is not requesting for. My number is 8050717985.

    I have asked for 3g activation on 30 December 10 and this still not done i do not understand how much time does this takes request you to do the needfull immediately without further reminders to you people.
