I am using a IDEA prepaid number in Maharashtra (Mumbai) and applied for Port in to UNINOR.
I followed all the preleminary process like sending a sms to 1900 and giving received code to UNINOR gallery with valid documents.

They received my request first on 7/1/2012 and they did all the process and confirmed me that the number would be ported to UNINOR within 7 days as per rule.

But till 16/1/2012 it didn't happen, so I again visited them and they sent another request for porting stating that perhaps IDEA is not willing to port out your no. this time it would be done within 5 days.

Again it didn't happen till 27/1/2012 and I visited them. The person in the gallery said they need to send another request for it. In this way I am helpless in this regard.

I don't know the actual reason behind this whether its a fault of IDEA or UNINOR, but finally I am suffering. Kindly suggest what to do now?

The IDEA network signal strength both at my office and living room is very weak and some times no network coverage.

My resident address- Basant Park, Building-02, Chembur, Mumbai - 71.
Office address- Tata power thermal power station, Trombay, Mahul Road, Chembur, Mumbai - 74.

when I complained to customer care, he gave me a useless suggestion like change your network selection mode to manual. By changing the mode, handset will only stop detecting other compatible networks automatically, but how it is possible to increase your network strength? kindly do the needful.
