I had subscribed for Vodafone 3G services. And got it active on sometime back in sep 19th 2011, the connection was good for the first 45 days. Started to see drastic drop in service (internet speed) from the 2nd week of November. I thought its a temporary things and should be fixed in a day or two. However problems continued for more than a week. So called the helpline and raised a compliant. I was given some tracking number. I waited for 48 hrs and again called back with the tracking number. The support engineer said this case number doesnt exist in their database. And he raised a new request, i asked for an escalation and wanted to speak to the supervisor. I did speak to a lady named babita, she said issues will be resolve within 48 hrs as there is a maintainance going around that area. However this problem was not restricted to area, I am into a job which involved travelling around the city to meet our clients. Hence this problem was observed everywhere, Bandra, Andheri, vashi, Malad, Borivali to name a few frequently visiting places. I waited for 48 hours more and saw no response or call to update me on the issue. Hence I Called back and I was promptly told that even the previous case number doesnt show up in their database. So at this I really lost my cool as its been more than 15 days with lowest of services, worst than my reliance 2G datacard (reliance was almost 5x faster than my vodafone 3G card). At this point Vodafone claimed that there is something wrong with my device(iPAD for all we know). I resigned to do any further follow ups and stop paying the bills to get their attention. Indeed i got the attention as they kept calling me and I told that there is an issue with the connection and until that is fixed I wont be clearing any futher bills. One fine day, I received a legal notice from Vodafone asking to clear the dues else any legal action can be initiated against me. So i thought good riddence, an honestly the profession I am in I do not get time to get into nitty gritties and do several follow ups. Hence I cleared the bill and prompted mailed vodafone thanking them for their nicities and decided never to transact with vodafone on a personal level, however I have a vodafone corporate connection which works alright even on data network.
recently i again receive a mail saying "We would like to inform you that your next bill will be generated on 04/02/12, with the payment due date of 22/02/12". At this point its been more than 2 months i have discontinued using Vodafone3G services. I am looking for justice in this forum. i am thouroughly harassed and embarassed by vodafone over the last 3 months with calls, legal notices and sending folks to my billing address making my work & life miserable.
