Angry Vodafone not sending PORT code

    Hi,

In spite of sending PORT <number> to 1900 many times, Vodafone is not sending me the PORT code. When i contact the customer care, they say we will do it shortly. This is getting really irritating now. Why should this take more than few minutes, as earlier it was not taking more than few minutes to receive the UPC code.

    My Number is : +919845654899

Please provide me the PORT code immediately.

    Regards,
    Srikanth G

Angry Vodafone - The worst service provider I have ever experienced

    Hi,

Thanks for the response. Could you explain me, why am I supposed to send the PORT message after 24 hours. When I call the customer care, they shamelessly tell me that there is a technical issue from long back, and I need to wait till 9 PM and then send the code. When I tell them that I am going to lodge a complaint in Consumer Forum, they are happily asking me to do so.

Finally I got a UPC code and processed my application to get a connection from a different service provider. Then, I got an SMS from Vodafone asking for me to wait 96 hours to get the porting request processed and finally it was after the current month's bill generation (after waiting for 7 days from my the day I placed my porting request), they simply rejected my porting request saying there is some amount due.

I don't understand, why can't they ask me to clear the due amount and till then keep this request on hold. Why they just need some or the other reason to reject the porting request?
If Vodafone is capable enough to provide proper services, then there won't be many customers looking to shift to other networks. Trying retain customers by providing quality services is to be encouraged, but not by rejecting the porting requests.

Mobile Number Portability is not very easy these days with some of the service providers doing these kind of mischief. I don't understand why, TRAI is not taking any action to stabilize the process of Number Portability?

Angry The answers are so lame, handling so poor.....

There were many questions in my previous post and you just answer with some information which I already know. I know what was the reason to reject the UPC code, but why there wasn't any communication from the Vodafone Customer Care asking to clear the outstanding amount?

Why the Customer Care executives are happy to hear about a Consumer Forum Complaint. I am sure you can't do this same to customers in US & Europe.

Why is the Vodafone network so bad that every call of mine was disconnected?

Why the calls get disconnected once get into the elevator?
