This was in regards to my post paid mobile number 8975557555 with service provider m/s ideacellular limited maharashtra & goa circle.

i had activated pack of rs 99 for sms in which i was able to send 5000 free sms. In month of october 2011 i was informed tru sms by idea that as per new trai norms, i would be able to send max 3000sms on my existing pack, as there have been a cap on sms above 3000.
But when i received my bill i was shocked to see that they have allowed 6587 sms from my mobile number and have charged me rs 3680 plus tax for the same. I registered my complaint of excess charging to them by visiting thier customer care center where i was told that as there was some technical problem with thier system and thus they were unable to put a cap on my sms. Again i mailed my complaint to thier nodal as well as appellate team. After continous mail and followup i got a call on 21st jan 2012 from one of thier representative Stella Chavan stating that T.R.A.I have increase the sms limit from 3000 to 6000 per month. I told her that it should have been informed to me when it had increase as earlier while reducing the pack from 5000sms to 3000sms they had informed the same. To this she replied that its not obligatory to them for informing me and i would have to pay the entire excess charge. Also i told her that if existing sms sending limit is of 6000 then why again there wasnt a cap on it as they have charge me of 6587 sms. This is totallu voilation of trai norms

Now they have stop my outgoing services and i assume that later i would be getting calls from thier hired collection agents.
