I am Piyush Jain, resident of Pune (Maharashtra). I had applied for an wi-fi internet connection from Tikona Broadband. In response to my connection request Tikona sent an official to check the connectivity on 02/August/2010 as they stated that in order to provide a connection the connectivity should be more than 30%.
The official's name is Mr. Vijay, He checked the connectivity and assured me that Tikona can provide me an internet connection. Then in the name of connection installment fee, I was asked to pay Rs 500/- along with my documents, which I provided him in cheque and completed all the formalities by 03/August/2010.
I also mentioned to him that I am in an urgent need of internet connection and requested him to speed up the process, to which Mr. Vijay assured me again that the connection will take place on 04/August/2010.
From here the harassment by the Tikona officials started, as i had to make repeated calls to them and remind them that I had requested to an immediate connection, I called up Mr Vijay on 04/August/2010, he replied that he has submitted my documents and when I called up customer care they replied that no record of my name or of my request exists with them.
Finally on 05/August/2010, I requested the customer care and Mr. Vijay that since they have lied to me so I do not wish to have a connection from Tikona and requested to refund my money along with my documents, to which they responded quickly and i received an sms from Tikona which had my user name and password. Therefore I gave them another opportunity to install the connection.
On 06/August/2010, their engineer (I don't know his name) visited my house and during the process of installing he notified me that the connection cannot be done as the connectivity is less than 30%.
Though Mr. Vijay had checked the connectivity and on agreeing that it is more than 30% he took the payment, now it implies that Tikona duped me and CHEATED me that the connection can be done and on that basis only they collected the money from me.
Thus my connection request was terminated and I was assured of a refund, but I had to make repeated calls to their customer care and still they made excuses that the process will be initiated from Mumbai head office. Finally i told them that i would lodge a complaint against them to which they started showing me complaint immune behavior.
After this, I was forced to visit their branch office on J.M road around 11/August/2010 ( I don't remember the exact date), again I met with the same non helping attitude and kept evading the issue by stating that its their Mumbai office responsibility but again assured me that my money will be refunded on 25/August/2010.
Thus I gave them the time and did not contact them after that but today is 26/August/2010 and I was again forced to call their head office in pune and tried speaking to Mr. Arjit Kapoor (Area Manager), I was asked to call after half an hour as he was in a meeting, i called back and again i was asked to call back after half an hour, i did that too but again Mr. Arjit did not answer and someone else picked up the phone and showed me again non helping attitude and when I said that I will lodge a complaint they showed me "I dont care" attitude.
So far my money has not been refunded even though it has been 18-20 days and the funny part is that they have even generated a bill although I dont have any internet connection.
I am tired of this harassment and the attitude they have showed me so far, PLEASE HELP ME.
