Provided with a faulty working Software and OS.
Laptop Purchased in June 2010. Complaint for this was lodged on June 7 2010. The couriered package did not provide the Original Windows 7 professional 64 bit DVD for which i was charged. Also no Drivers and utility software package was provided. Moreover the Recovery software installed was not functioning. Brought this to the notice of Dell technician and was told that an OS DVD will be shipped to me within 7 days. The DVD would enable to me reinstall my OS and enable proper functioning of the concerned softwares. However the delivery of the dvd was delayed by 20 days. Moreover the DVD was received in bad condition and consequently it was not functioning. This was again duly brought to the notice of the concerned person. Initially they ignored my mails for a week. Then they asked me send the dvd back to them and assured of replacement. I duly shipped it back, and asked for confirmation of receipt from them. However again they chose to ignore my mails for another 3 weeks approx. Finally i get a reply from them that Dell does not take guarantee of the DVDs. So it would not be replaced and they same faulty dvd would be shipped to me. Moreover amidst all this i was left handicapped with no means to create a back up for my system. And during my Exams for term 1 of MBA my laptop OS crashed. And i was handicapped as i had no means to recover the system. Due to this i took a hit on my studies and grades. Moreover due to lack of original OS dvd which i was supposed to get from Dell, i had to repurchase a new one to run format and run my system to enable me to study. However i did not have any of the Dell utility softwares or drivers. Drivers were arranged from internet. But dell utilities for which i was charged were not available. And moreover Dell refused to provide them again saying it is only a one time service. I have been conned by Dell as i was charged for a malfunctioning software. And was also charged for Windows 7 OS but was not provided any DVD for the same. Moreover the utilities for which i was charged were also not provided in any cd/dvd format. And most of all i was made to wait on call for atleast 1 hour each time i called their technical support looking for help. Thus being a victim of their low standard services. I hope someone will enable me to get justice with regards to this. |
