Indane gas agency in velachery sent someone on 13/5/2010 to my house on 13th May and demanded Rs.70/- after asking my wife to light all the burners saying that he is doing an inspection.

Amount was not paid.

I called up Indane gas agency Ms.Sri muthu and was told that I have to come in person to pay up.The catch is I have booked a cylinder and if do not pay then I will not be supplied.

We faced a similar problem, the lady said she is from IOC and that she will inspect and got in. But once she just lit the burners and turned it off, she said some irrelevant thing and demanded money ! 70 Rs should be paid or the agency people will say that we can surrender the cylinder it seems ! Now, this looks really unfair. I dont understand what the Government of India is for then? If the private services can do things better; then the Government is pathetic on its protocols and services to people. Its totally unacceptable that the people need to pay for this kind of so-called "inspection". They also claim that they will come only once in 2 years but the money will be collected for the two years at one shot. What is this kind of loot?????
