    Smile SONY VAIO sells E series laptop with faulty Hard Disk

    I bought a SONY VAIO laptop model:VPCEB24 EN/BI on 17/07/10 from Nehru palace,Delhi.Hard disk read problem occurred on 5/08/10 unexpectly.I discussed with customer care on that day only.He told me to submit the laptop on serice centre for checking.I submitted the laptop at Ghaziabad sony service centre on 7/08/10.They are not responding to my querry. They do not pick the phone which contact number given in job order.When i met them in Sony centre; they told me that my hard disk has been crashed & is to be replaced. They do not able repair it till now. I already lost my 100 GB personal data & having so many mental tensions for repairing it.
    It seems Sony sells Low quality laptop in order to capture Indian market with competitive market price. I want to replace my laptop with new one. If any body suggests me how to tackle the issue, then let me know.

    worst laptop is sony vaio e series . because in our college we purchaced 5 same model laptops . with in few days in all the 5 laptops we find out many problems .the main and common problem for the 5 laptops is os problem and others problems related to speakers and hard disk

    sony vaio e series laptop are faulty. I have purchased one of the e series laptop .Its hard disk get crashed in 11 days.after that i get new laptop in replacement & even the new one ends in 5 days

    Default Sony vaio Hard disk failure

    Its just 20 days since I bought my new E series sony vaio laptop from Nehru Place, New Delhi

    My system is showing "operating system not found' when contacted to customer care they asked me to take to sony service centre.

    Their I came to know that my hard disk got failed. They said your data will be lost and we will replace it within 4-5 days. But after 20 days after regular visits and shouting they replaced my hard disk.

    What's the use of such a costly machine where every 2 -3 laptops hard disk is going crashed.

    And such a worst service from sony which i have never expected.

    i bought my laptop sony EN 23 in july 23,after just 5 days it's hard disk crash,i gave it to sony care they gave it to me after 25 days,after using one month it's hard disk again crashed.sony vaio series is a worst quality laptop series.

    Default Hard disk Failure in Vaio E sereis

    I have purchased Vaio E series model in April 2010, after 6 months hard disk got failure, though the laptop is hardly used for 4 to 5 hours in a month. (single handed) & also maintained with too much care. I have never expected such type of things may happen with sony product. however they have replaced the harddisk within a week as it was under warranty period. If this again may fail after few months? & at that time it wont be under warranty period? i dont understand sony may do compromise on quality of the product to stand up with compete market. while there are having wide customers range which only purchase the product of sony only(I was also one of them), y such type of sily things like faulty harddisk they are using in laptop of Rs. 49900.

    I have purchased Sony E- series (VPCEA) laptop at Trichy on 2nd August 2010. But within 3 months, during normal using time " OPERATING SYSTEM NOT FOUND " error came. Then I can not able to boot mode also. That time I am in abroad. Check with that country approved sony service persons,they are told your hard disk is fully failured. Still they can not believe how it is possible and also they are told Indian sony products still not standardised, you may conduct Indian sony .. Again i am awaiting for indian arrival, then only i have take a service either paid or warranty period( w/o pay).. Why they are marketing like that unsuccessful R&D products???? . So better we will like any global products, purchase from concern country make( eg..sony -japan : Dell - US)

    I bought sony vaio VPC EB36FG/L on 19/10/10 from Laptop Plus (Ampa sky walk) Chennai.After that its hard disk has crashed twice i reported the problem and i am having problem with the audio system too.I reported the problem at the Sony Service center, they replaced the hard disk(ALTHOUGH IN 2 WEEKS) but didnt repaired the audio system.
    I am really very woried about the frequent hard-disk crashes, and do worry that if i have been given faulty system.And I am worried if the problem persists what i will do after warranty period is over.

    Default Hard disk problem with Vaio E Series

    I purchased one E Series Laptop in last year in Hyderabad from SV Electronics near Secunderabad Railway Station. Sometimes its performance becomes too slow. I thought because some other application. Later I realised that it is Hard disk problem. I simply believed that SONY is a great company with high reliable product supply capabilities. But I am wondering how SONY is simply released with LOW QUALITY Hard disks with so much advertisement into the market.
    I don't know what should I do with this laptop now. I think ONE year warranty also over. This is the worst experience I never faced. I tried to reach customer care using the toll free number as mentioned above, But I am not able make it. Hope that number is working.

    Angry Sony Laptop problems

    Hi
    I purchased a Sony Viao Laptop Model VGN-CS14G/B E1 in Dec 2008. Within its warranty period, I had several problems - its fan conked off resulting in overheating of the laptop causing it to shut down repeatedly. I found out at Sony service centre that this is a recurrent problem with their laptops of this series. Even after repairs, a noise still comes from the laptop fan. The OS (Windows Vista) also had several problems - often it would shut down on its own or get stuck or act extremely slow. Finally, a month ago it just got stuck and refused to boot properly. I submitted the laptop for repairs at the service centre and have been slapped an estimate of Rs. 10800 for hard disk (which by their own admission crashed due to recurrent shut downs). Sony service center is never reachable .. I tried calling more than 100 times and then they picked up the phone. Its a torture to deal with Sony and sad to see the state of affairs of an extremely popular and reputed brand. I have been a Sony fan since childhood starting with sony's walkman and then discman and I also have two Sony LCD tvs and this laptop.

    Angry Sony Vaio E serie not working

    I bought Sony Vaio on Oct 29, 2010. a month later it was running slow, and very slow. I thought it was caused by virus then I have to restore complete system from recovery disk. I did every month until now my laptop did not even boot. last night I restored complete system again. It took time all night because too slow on running. I have tried to scan disk, memory, hard drive. nothing error found. now my Vaio Care wont run.
    please help. I don't know what happened. I never thought this type of symptom will happen to Sony brand. I'm wrong. I won't buy Sony laptop again or recommend another. It's less a year. is warranty still cover?
    how can I report?

    Yaa i am agree with you, I have also brought a VPCEB24 EN sony viao laptop @August 2010, I uses this laptop normally, Some days ago i was using it a normal way, Everything was ok, for some minute i went somewhere, and when came back i saw a black screen "OS NOT FOUND", I contacted to customer care n service center, Service center guise saying hard disk is to be change, but what about my data, well my laptop is under warranty , but who is responsible for my data loss, I am having extremely important data on my HDD, I saw the forum, there are many users who faced such kind of problem,
    Now i thinking to file a case against SONY for the faulty HARDDISK , Since this is SONY's mistake, so guise why i bear the Data recovery COST.
    SONY Should not comprise with Quality since they are charging more money then others like (DELL etc.). from Customer.

    SONY SHOULD THINK ABOUT IT.

    Default Sony Vaio VPCEB14EN E Series Worse laptop. Don't buy

    Hi,
    IIts Sumit, I bought Sony laptop (VPCEB14EN) on 06th of March 2010 at sony centre Nehru Palace, New Delhi The Price was 38500 INR. After a completion of a year I Had problems in hard Disk and all of sudden it crashed. my laptop not in warranty now and such a poor hard disk which crashed in only 1.4 years.

    I too come under the long list of individuals who have been unlucky enough to buy a Sony VAIO. I had brought mine some 15 months back and have already faced problems like HARD DISKS failure "OS not found", but the most recent one is the Display problem. The screen of my VAIO VPCEB24EN is flickering and has gone white. I think the company should be sued for its faulty products, If I had read these earlier I would not have bought it

    I purchased sony vaio VPCEB14EN laptop on 8 mar 2010 and the day i have purchased this laptop i am getting problem and the 10-15 day before 1 year warranty expire my laptop base was damaged due to excessive heat. Sony service center guys replaced it and gave me back this after warranty was over.

    After 10-15 days my hard disk started giving problem, and they said it is not possible to replace it now as warranty is over.

    And now finally my hard disk is crashed, i called sony customer care and they said hard disk warranty for E series laptops is 2 years. but now they are cheating me and saying it is only one year.

    I have had so many problem with this laptop in 1 year
    the list is below:

    1: DVD writer problem
    2: arrow key combination problem
    3: accessive heat
    4: base damaged due to heat
    5: hard disk started problem the day they replaced the base
    6: finally hard disk crashed
    7: dead pixel on screen

    there are so many problems i cant even count.

    And i have sent them mail on 14 jan and they have not replied yet. I want my hard disk replaced, i am ready to pay service charges. Hard disk has been crashed because it was faulty and many other E series users are getting the same problem.

    I have purchased sony hx7v on this diwali, But now i doubt the quality of that too.

    I know the reply of this complaint, it would be you call us on our call center and we will resolve it. My experience with call center guys is:

    they use rude language and show attitude, and they say whatever we can do we are doing and we dont have authority to raise your concern to senior supervisors.

    And when I mailed you guys on 15/01/2012, the complaint no registered is 9212370

    Please resolve this at the earliest.

    I am waiting for the reply of mail from last 10 days and no reply......

    I am really not satisfied with services being provided by Sony....Being a big brand they should behave like big brand.
