I am Soumo Sankar Boxi (S/O Prabir Kr. Boxi). I had purchased a Nokia 5235 Ovi Music Unlimited handset on 17.7.2010
(17th July,2010) from Nokia Priority Star Communication (161,GT Road Asansol-713301, West
Bengal).

According to your company's policy I have a 1 year warranty on your product after sale.
This warranty is up to 17th July 2011.

Recently from the month of May my handset showed some problems which are listed below :-

1. Videos recordings were not good at all. The videos recorded were stopping at some points
then again it continued after some time.
2. The phone became slow and restarted on its own some times.Later it stared hanging time
and time again.
3. Finally the touch screen stopped working on 26th June 2011.

On occurence of such problems I went to nearest Nokia Care at Kolkata. The name and

I regretably in form you that I was thoroughly dissatisfied with there behaviour and was
surprised to see that even at Nokia Care such things can happen.
When I went there I was given a token number N37 and asked to wait. I waited for about
40 minutes and was called in.

The person at the help desk first scrutinized my handset and asked me my grieviances.
On telling him he opened the handset's cover screen and saw whether the LCD was broken.

Then he started suggesting that my warranty is about to be over and I should give them a sum of
Rs.565/- so that they extend the warranty for one year more.

I clearly told them that I was not interested in that shceme but they continued pursuading me.
But finally when I rejected their offer they started behaving rudely.

Then after that he gave me two printed job sheet and told me to sign. I did so and then
he handed me one and took another himself and asked me to wait until they try to repair
my handset.

After some time they called me on my phone number and asked whether I was still
at Nokia Care or not. Then they called me in.

They said that the phone cannot be mended by there technitians and has to be sent to an outside
shop and I will have to pay Rs.1800.
I said that my phone is in warranty period and I should not have to pay for any maintenence.

All of a sudden they started telling me that my handset is tampered and I had taken it to
some outside shop and had it opened. My warranty is void. They will cancel my warranty.
And treated me disrespectfully. They said that I had it opened at some other place , I am lying,
I am a fake person, I was trying to fool them and they wont offer any service to me.
Then they told me to wait outside and they assembled my handset. They declared my
warranty void.

Then while handing it over to me they refused to give me any Job sheet number or any recipt
that could prove that I had visited there Service centre.

I seriously doubt that these people themselves have tampered with my handset and changed
the inner parts. Thats why they refused to give me any proof that I had been to there service centre.

I am totally disappionted and hope that my problem will be addressed.
