I had purchased Samsung SGH - L700 mobile handset in the October 2008. But since then i was facing battery problem which used to drain out very fast. In warranty period it was changed twice but still in vain. Now since past few days the battery drains within no time ie. within 3-4 hours with only minimum usage. When i went to customer service centre located at Borivali Mumbai. They first said that you need to keep mobile handset for testing. I asked them what is the expected fault you. They replied if the battery is weak then will need to replace and will cost apprrox. Rs. 1100/- and if there is any technical fault in mother board then will cost approx. Rs. 4,500/- . I was shocked to hear that with such amount one can get a new handset , they claimed its company's price and cant change it.
Let me bring to your notice that i am not a rough user of mobile and do take utmost good care of the same. So its a defect in the piece from starting only. Also i come from lower middle class background and spending such amount is not possible for me.
I am really upset and dont wish or recommend to go with any of the samsung products.
My request is to get the piece completed replaced with new one or provide me some alternate solution
