i bought a sony ericsson C510 on 27/11/09 from an authorised dealer of sony ericsson handsets from BORA SERVICE,ULUBARI,GUWAHATI.After about 8 months later i faced some problems relating to some functions of the keypad and also the battery was not charged properly.So i approached the dealer from where i bought that handset.They said that they cannot do anything and i must approach the service centre of sony ericsson which is situated in NEPALI MANDIR(IN FRONT OF FOREST OFFICE),PALTAN BAZAR,GUWAHATI.So i went to that service centre and showed them my handset and also said that it was under warranty period(as the warranty period was of 1 year and upto 26/11/10 as written on the warranty card).Then they checked my handset and said that there was waterlogged in my handset(though my handset never fell into water and neither came into contact of water) and said no warranty service is available in this case.I tried to convince them but they were never willing to listen to any of my words and keep insisting that i must register my complaint under out of warranty service.Then i came into their words and agreed to do so.I asked them when can i get back my mobile as it was very urgent for me.They told me to call back that very evening(28/07/10) by 4pm.I called them at around 4pm but their mobile was switched off.The next they i called again and they said that my mobile was ready and i can pick it up in the afternoon.I said arrived at the service centre the next they afternoon and asked for my handset.Then surprisingly they informed me that it wasnt ready yet.I requested them to call me back whnever my handset is ready to be delivered.They(the lady at the reception)also agreed to do so.But still till the evening of the next day i didnt receive any call from them.So on 31/08/10 i went to the service centre and asked for my mobile handset.They charged me 400 INR for cleaning the keypad and software loading.At that time the handset started working but after 1day it again has started to give the same problem(keypad malfunctioning).Now i think it would be better to approach consumer forum for my problem as the service centre doesnt hav any feedback system.


NB:sony ericssonC510:i met three other customers who were also having problems with this handset within six months from buying(same problem of keypad and battery)
