Hi,
I have purchased QT-44 with IMEI#(910040882607505) on 25th of May'10, after 2 days I started facing a few problems in my handset.
1. Calls getting dropped from Master sim with an error msg as connection failure and after that on screen it is showing "Sim access error". When the handset is switched off/on immediately after the problem occurs the names are not showing in phonebook and msg box.
2. After sending 10-15 msgs and talking for 15 minutes battery bar turning down to 2.
3. Voice quality is very poor, voice is not clear on both the side and voice echo's while speaking.
4. It takes 2 to 5 second to come to main screen after pressing "Back" button.
5. It takes 2 to 5 second to go to option after pressing the right button.
4. From 29th morning automatically Master Sim is showing as "Invalid Sim" and it is taking 10 to 15 times switch off and on to bring the phone to normal state.
The above complaint were reported to the retailer from whom the handset was purchased to which he redirected to service centre at 6, Chowringhee Lane, Kolkata. When I visited the service centre on 29th May'10 the person sitting there said I need to leave the handset with them for 7days to which I said in that case I need a spare handset as I have to be available on the phone 24X7 as per my job profile. In response they said that you have purchased a handset worth Rs2000 and not worth Rs15000 thus they will not be able to provide me the handset. I also said that the handset is only 4 days old(there is a chance that this handset is defective) and requested for replacement as per DOA policy as informed by the retailer, to which they said there is no such policy and they cannot do anything. When I threatened them to complain they asked me to go ahead and do it. This kind of response from service center clearly shows that company is not liable for any goods once sold.
Poor display of customer service, no value for money for customers and commitments not met.
Spice is one of the reputed brand globally with this kind of service it will loose the brand name.
Just to keep you informed the same handset is being used by my colleagues and there is no such problem.
Need you support on this and if you are unable to then please share the escalation matrix as I am ready to escalate it to highest possible level.
I got a call aftger 8days after sending a reminder,I got a call and asked me to visit on saturday and they will do the needful in 1hour. Somehow I managed to go to service centre on saturday and he worked on my mobile and returned it in 1hr. He said that he had upgraded the software and for battery problem I have to leave the mobile for a week to which I did not agree and took my handset back. I made last call at around 6pm and kept the handset in my pocket when I took it out at 6.15pm the screen was blank and none of the keys were working. I took out a battery and tried to switch on the handset once again but failed as only 1st screen is coming and it is getting hanged. I tried many times but unable to switch on my handset.
The handset is only 17days old and I have been following up with theml since 4th day still I am not getting a replacement niether a proper service.I have to buy a new handset on that day itself.
On monday I went and handed my handset that was 14th June'10, I didnot got any response till date.
Please suggest what to do???
