Subject :- Misguided 3G plans of Airtel company
Sir,
I Sanjeev Kumar using mobile no. 9810834136 of AIRTEL since last eight years. I opted for 3G internet plan on my connection. Being 1st time user I choose lower rental plan of Rs.100 for 100Mb free and onward charges as 30 paisa/20 kb. Airtel customer care representative told that if usage are higher the plan will be revised accordingly. After 20 days I got a massage from airtel that my usage has crossed credit limit of Rs.5000. I got surprised and talked to airtel regarding this ,they told me that my 3G usage is 460Mb. Hence my credit limt is crossed.
According to my plan usage they charged me Rs 100 for first 100 mb and for remaining 360Mb charge were Rs. 5529. @ Rs.15.36/Mb.
I asked regarding these high charges as on one side they are providing 100Mb in Rs.100. i.e Rs. 1.00/Mb and also there highest plan charges are Rs.400 and 400 Mb free. On other hand the non free usage charges are Rs.15.36 /Mb.
Above plan is just like renting a Taxi for Rs.1000 for 100 km. and after this charges will be Rs.1.00 /meter. Person who does not understand proper unit system will definitely misguided in these type of plans.
They misguide me telling charges in kb. If I know that this technical thing then I wouldnt chosen this plan. Another thing Airtel also told me that if my uses increases they will change my plan. In this way they initially misguide me in telling plans and confused me in Mb nd kb game and also not changed my plan accordingly as they said. They take interests in only charging money by misguiding plans. I approached airtel but they refused to provide waiver of unjustified charges and charged me as per my gross usage such as Rs 5500. for 360Mb. Thereby I Kindly request you to look in to this matter and take suitable actions. I am ready to pay as per airtel highest bill plan. And in future not to introduce such type of technically confusing plans by changing units i.e Mb/kb.
