    Default Deducting of Main Balance (Reliance Communication)

    Dear sir/ madam.
    I am a reliance gsm customer from westbengal, p.o. Asansol,dist Burdwan-713301,my reliance mobile number is +919832247568
    I have recharged my mobile no.on 23.11.11 with Rs. 55/- and can get full balance but after recharging my account the next day(24.11.11) my all balance deducted by the Reliance Communication. I can call the customer care and asked him that why you deduct my balance but they have not answering my question they said me that we are not get the update of your numbers so, we can not do anything. I am calling today also they said me that you account is deduct wrongly & I can send a complaint to our seniors and you can get the balance after 2 hours but I can not get my main balance back.
    So, its a humble request to you please take any action against my problem because I am a student and I am recharging my mobile by my pocket money this is not the first time that the Reliance Communication deduct my balance.Kindly help me.

    Post Threatening & Extortion Calls from Reliance

    Hello All,

    This mail is being sent to you with reference to a notice with Ref. No RCOM/CRO/NOV-11/1008 dated 4th Nov 2011 which I received from one of your Advocate pertaining to an outstanding payment issue from your end. After having gone through the above letter in detail, following are my inputs which have been clearly communicated to the Reliance team and now to your kindself as well.

    1. Kindly refer to the last payment made for the said usage against the Datacard services (Datacard No. : 9323704091). The payment made was for Rs. 937.00 on the 24/06/2011 for the usage incurred during the Billing Period from 11-05-2011 to 10-06-2011.

    2. Post the above billing cycle (11-05-2011 to 10-06-2011), I started encountering some connectivity issues around the 11th of June onwards. As an immediate actionable, registered a problem and spoke to one of the Customer Care executives on the said matter. He asked me to follow some couple of steps which related to uninstalling followed with a fresh installation of the card which unfortunately didn’t get the Datacard working too. Based on my experience and knowledge, I kept on calling the customer care team literally on a daily basis. They kept on asking me to uninstall and install the card again and again and on one of the occasion they mentioned that they will have a Technical Person from their DAKC team call me to fix the problem which unfortunately didn’t happen at all. The call log records needs to be thoroughly checked to get to know the “n” number of calls made by me to fix the issue which still didn’t get corrected. I was even directed to visit one of your Reliance Datacard Hardware Repair Centers in Dadar where I visited and who confirmed that the Datacard is perfectly fine and there will be a Network problem in the area where I stay because of which the connectivity wasnt happening. I spent money to call and also travel to the repair center to have the datacard repaired.

    3. Post the above repeated attempts to make the Card functional, I did raise the said matter to one of the Customer Car Executives at the Reliance Gallery at Linking Road, Bandra (West) near Satguru’s Gallery. Post he trying the same card on his Demo Laptop as well, he mentioned that the datacard is not having a problem. Infact, they agreed and even confirmed that there has been an ongoing issue with the Reliance Towers in an around Khar & Santacruz suburbs from the last couple of weeks due to which lot of Reliance users are facing problems while accessing these services. Post receiving these complaints, they themselves have already escalated these complaints to the Reliance team to get the problem corrected. They also weren’t able to provide me the resolution times as well since they said that the problem was critical and might involve months together.

    4. After hearing the said information from the person at the Gallery store, I did go back to the store after 3-4 days following up for the resolution of the said problem. Was surprised to hear from the Reliance Gallery Team that they themselves are not aware of the resolution time frame and I have an option to disconnect the services with immediate effect and subscribe the services from another Service Provider and which was possible only after I had cleared the last payment bill which I had already done on the 24/06/2011 itself. After having shown the payment confirmation, they took the request to disconnect the Reliance Datacard.

    5. Post my disconnection request, did receive a call within the next 7-10 days confirming my disconnection request and once again trying hard to retain me as a customer and now taking an active interest to help me sort these long standing issues and parallely also started telling me as well as trying to selling me some other services such as Custodial services, etc…I did obtain a confirmation from the person who called me that I will not receive any more bills nor any more calls as well since all my previous bills were already paid as per my last payment of Rs. 937.00

    After having received the above confirmation, am surprised to see the following :

    1. Bill generated for the Billing Cycle (11-06-2011 to 10-07-2011) and that too when the Card was Not in use and Completely Non-functional due to the Technical Issue of the Reliance Towers being down in the Khar & Santacruz Suburbs.
    Why was the Bill Generated post my disconnection request in the first place ? This is a case of cheating and fraudaulent trade practice.

    2. Infact the Bill amount for the current Billing Cycle when the card was not in use and not functional was Rs. 1210.00 versus the Billing amount of the previous billing cycle when the card was in use and functional was Rs. 937.00.
    How can the Bill be generated if the Card has been disconnected and isn’t functional at all ? This is again a case of cheating and fraudaulent trade practice.

    3. To further complicate the above matter, the Billing did continue for another Billing Cycle (11-07-2011 to 10-08-2011) once again and that too when the disconnection request has already been confirmed by the Reliance customer care team. Even though the card is not in use and non-functional, a bill was still generated for Rs. 806.09.
    Why was the Bill Generated post my disconnection request once again ? This is again a case of cheating and fraudaulent trade practice.

    Post the above episodes, have now started receiving threatening calls from the team of your Lawyer who have now resorted to using foul and abusive language while following up for payments. They have also started using these calls to extort money from me which I dont owe them at all.

    This mail is being sent to you as a reminder from my end to your agency to stop making these calls failing which I will go ahead and file a case of cheating against your organization on charges of cheating and extortion. Instead it should be me who should be asking for the money and time lost for these followups regularly to your customer care and Gallery team to get the problem resolved which didnt happen at all. I will also not hesitate to go to the Consumer Court and expose this case of cheating to the Press and Media who by the way have already seen these cases of cheating happening by your Organization.

    To further add to the above, will actually now seek a compensation towards the repeated calls, followup calls, etc…made and also the business loss which I have had from the time the card became non-functional till the time the disconnection request was made from my side.

    Request you to go through the above and revert in case of any further queries.
