This complaint is out of super frustrating and irritating experience I had within just 1 month of using idea service.
Below is my case history:-
1. On 30th of September I activated Blackberry Internet Plan Re. 399 rental per month for unlimited Internet. I got confirmation of the same via SMS from IZ-55456.Same amount was deducted from my account which is OK.
2. After that I started using internet and to my surprise extra money was getting deducted. At starting it was Re 0.01 or 0.10 which I didn't bother to look upon.
3. On 3rd suddenly Rs 47 get deducted I decided to lodge a complaint in customer care. I lodged a complaint with SR No. 1-1809648118 on 4th October at 8:05 AM IST.I was told it'll get resolved within 12 hours. However I never knew that within 12 hours mean you guys will start taking action on it at 11th hour. I have used Airtel and Vodafone and based on my experience with their customer care I thought that it'll get resolved as soon as possible. But how wrong I was!!!More over the customer care persons were inefficient. I’ll highlight that separately later on.
4. Anyway timeline given to me was 10:00 AM of 5th October, and I was told to receive a call from Idea for the resolution of the complaint.
At exactly 9:56 AM IST I called customer care and asked what is happening and the lady after going round and round told me we'll start working on it as soon as possible and will call you.
I demand to know what kind of service is this.
You give a timeline to customer and start working on it when it's about to expire??
Anyway I never received any call and at around 11AM or so I received a sms saying the complaint has been resolved.
Now during my conversation regarding this complaint I can remember 2 people from GPRS team Irfan and Suhasini, who clearly mentioned that once this complaint is resolved I'll get back the amount deducted and will also never face a problem like this. Both acknowledged that it's a technical problem from Idea's side and it happens sometimes.
So I was expecting the amount to be credited in my account after I got the sms.
I checked and it was not credited. In the meantime again Rs. 43 was deducted from my account for the same reason. Also I tried to access Internet at again extra money was deducted!!!
Clearly from no aspect the complaint was resolved and you sent a false notification to customer.
It isn't it CHEATING? Anybody interested in explaining what you guys are up to? Making extra money by cheating the customer!!!
5. I got frustrated and continuously tried reaching customer care and had some funniest and irritating experience.
I really doubt the education level of the customer care executives you have appointed in Maharashtra & Goa region.
Here are some examples:-
One CC-person told me, amount deducted was justified as Blackberry Internet Service is something about free SMS!!! God, I got so surprised that I couldn't explain the problem to him.
Later another person (and he was a SENIOR person as described by the CC-person) told me that I shloud use BB messenger for browsing internet.
Could anybody on my behalf please explain him the difference between messenger and internet browser?
I'm really scared seeing the knowledge level of you service desk staff and can easily imagine how you are making fool of common, comparatively less educated Indian (with due respect to them).
6. Anyway moving on I kept on trying and trying to reach a sensible CC-person and when I was able to reach him and explain the whole scenario , the solution he was able to give me was “the system is down and you have to try after 24 hours"!!!
7. I called after 24 hour and was able to lodge another complaint SR No. 1-18716516748.Again I was assured that all charges will be reverted and same problem will not happen again.
On 7th Oct I got sms that this complaint has been solved too. When I checked by account balance, I found that only Re. 19 was credited while actually almost Re. 100 was deducted.
Moreover amount is again getting deducted abruptly.
So What was the exact solution provided??
Till date my problem has not been solved.
1. Still money is getting deducted.
2. Every time I call Customer Care, I have start explaining them from the beginning. Why should I do so? If I am following up with them for last 2-3 weeks why don’t they take the matter forward from where it last paused? Starting fresh every time is very painful for me as I have to explain the whole thing to them and they get back with some useless suggestion like your setting is not proper, plan is not activated etc etc. Then I have to tell them repeatedly that please check from your side, there must be some problem and then only they agree to take a complaint.
Anyway I often do not get any complaint number!!!
3. These people are using a smart trick. They never send a sms for balance deducted. Only pop-up comes up and upon clicking OK it’s gone.
Also they keep deducting Re 1 or Re 0.50 Re. 0.80 after every 5-10 mints .So unless one keeps a careful check the amount never shock them.
From last two days even if I am not using my mobile phone, balance are getting deducted. I have to keep my mobile off!!
I demand a detail explanation and permanent solution of this.
I am not worried about the amount deducted; it’s the service level and lack of honesty.
I confronted Idea Service Provider shop at Aundh, they were at loss, were not able to answer my questions.
