Vodafone 3G - Fraudulent Billing

    Default Vodafone 3G - Fraudulent Billing

    I had purchased a post paid Vodafone connection with Number 8860626355 in May and activated 3G services for use in my I Pad in the name of H. Ramachandran. The 3G services took about a week to get activated.

    However, within 3-4 days of using the 3G services, the Vodafone connection itself got disconnected and my I Pad showed the no service icon. Despite repeated calls to the customer service center (which in my opinion is the worst among mobile service providers, and I have used 3 others), no one could give me an answer to why my service had been deactivated. I was told multiple reasons such as incomplete documents and reversal of verification but I could not get a solution to the problem.

    I got a bill 2 days ago for Rs 6391.33 for usage of 6.1GB from 25th May to 1st June!! I know for a fact that I have not downloaded this much data. I do not even know if it is physically possible to download so much data in 5 days, that too on a device that you use intermittently. This is a fraudulent bill that Vodafone has prepared that I want to complaint against.

    I called up the Vodafone callcenter at 98110 98110 (which for some reason keeps connecting you to the pre paid department) and managed to reach someone named Sandeep in the post paid department after multiple attempts. He insisted that the bill is genuine and that no investigation is possible from their side. After requesting him multiple times to register a complaint, I gave up and am now writing to this forum.

    I have recorded this conversation with the Vodafone representative where he refused to register my complaint for faulty billing. I intend to use it as evidence in legal proceedings. I would like to take legal action against this company for cheating its customers. I would also recommend to all those who read this never to take a Vodafone account. Fraud of this magnitude and subsequent refusal to register a complaint is something I have never faced with any other consumer facing organization.

    Default Fraudent Billing

    I have brought a 3G connection in month of july. My credit limit set was 3000 INR. I got a bill of 30k INR. Vodaphone has been sending collection representative at my home to make the payment. I have spoken to vodaphone care but they just insist on making full payment. My connection was active for only 3 days. I dont know what can be done. Pls help. My email id is mahesh.kaneri@gmail.com.
