Would like to share malpractices of Vodafone prepaid services. I recently topped up my Vodafone mobile with 85 worth of Talk time and 1 GB worth of GPRS data pack. I received a SMS confirming activation of both the services. Basis this confirmation I started updating my apps on my Windows mobile. But after updating one app, i received a SMS stating my talk time balance is nil. When i called 198 the complaint cell, i was informed that there seems to be a technical issue at vodafone end as though my data pack was activated but talk time was reduced & they had no clue.
they confirmed i will receive a call from their technical team in next 48 hours and reverse the charge on my talk time. When no call came after 48 hours, i again checked with the 198 number to which they replied they will get back tomorrow. Today i received a call and they said we cannot do anything. they agreed i would i received the SMS but in the backend as it was not activated it was my fault.
This is a clear cheating & malpractices done by Vodafone and they should sued for cheating.
the complaint number provided was 1097731592. the name of the agents / supervisor i spoke to was Surendra Shah(floor supervisor) & Shraddha (CSR)
