Default Vodafone not billing with correct tariff

    Hello,

I was a happy customer using Vodafone on STD 299@50 paise but then I discovered that my employer had corporate plans which were much cheaper. So, I decided to switch to corporate 249 rs plan which allowed me 600 free STD mins + 600 free local mins + 500 local sms + 500 STD sms per month.

Since after making that change, I have not been getting any free minutes or free sms at all in the bill. It shows zero free mins and zero free sms in the bill and I have been charged full amounts for all of them, so my first bill with this tariff charged me more than 1000 rupees, when the real bill amount should have been around 550 rupees. So excess charges of about 500 rupees.

This month again the same thing happened, no free minutes again. I have written lots of emails to Corporate.Assist@vodafone.com and also, called 111 about 5 times but the customer care folks tell me that they made a mistake and need to do something on their end, but they put me on hold and never come back on phone.

Getting really annnoyed with this now. I am planning to expose this behaviour of Vodafone employees in Consumer Court as well as Media (NDTV has started show and they are doing an episode on mobile problems in different networks, would be a good place to go for all troubled people).

As a last resort, I am writing here in the hope that maybe this will be finally fixed. Don't understand, how can the same problem happen again, very unprofessional.

    Default Some more info:

I have also written within my company's corporate affairs department who manage the relationship with Vodafone, because there might be other employees as well, who are suffering because of miscalculations of tariff by Vodafone billing computers.

Is there anyone from Vodafone reading this email?? Have you the courtesy to reply to this email or try to resolve the issue?? This is seriously becoming very annoying now..

Yes, thanks for the call and the effort to understanding the issue. I think the problem that I am facing is clear to Senior guys within Vodafone, hopefully they'll do something that would solve it now.

Will update on what happens here within next few days.

    Hello VodafoneIndia,

Looks like my emails to CorporateAssist@Vodafone are being picked as seperate tickets and I am getting different responses for the same email.

Anyways, the issue is clear to me now. The tariff plan which I had received in Nov 2011 from Vodafone didn't mention anything about STD CUG minutes, it only had STD minutes in there, so I gladly took the plan. This became clear in the call with your Senior Manager, I have already sent him that spreadsheet.

I hope the matter can be resolved soon and I can be given a tariff that is good for STD calling and these extra charges be waived off which are because of inaccurate information sent to me.

    Thanks,

    Kunal

    Hello Vodafone,

You told me on 10th Feb that you will reply back in 48 hours (2 days), it is 5 days today, still no reply about reversal of charges for last 2 months. It has been 10 days since I spoke wtih your senior services manager, Joseph Pinto and forwarded him the inaccurate tariff plan that was given to me.

I wrote to Corporate assist to find out the best plan for calling STD mobiles and they were telling me that my tariff plan has already been changed and I already have 600 STD free mins, after 2 mins they tell me that its CUG minutes. Why do you guys employ customer service professional who cannot read plain english??

Anyways, please let me know, if you're able to reverse the charges or not, because that is due to your mistake and not mine. This is my last attempt, after this I will simply switch to another network and will not bother replying to any of your messages.

I've called 198 a couple of times to find out if anything was being done to reverse the unfair charges, but they don't even know about the matter. Not sure, why you have so many systems which are totally un-connected.

    Hello Guys,

Yes, thanks for the call from your Senior Manager. The issue has been resolved to my satisfaction and I am happy with the outcome!!

After discussion with him, I was able to select a plan that gives me STD mins on STD mobiles, which will benefit me.

I will continue to stay on Vodafone.

    Thanks,

    Kunal
