The telephone/BB services are down in the above connection for more than a week.
Airtel is taking a stand that the same is due to a faulty splitter that it will not replace due to change in company policy wef July,2011, which is not tenable for the undernoted reasons;
a) The telephone instrument/splitter other accessories/modems are installed by Airtel & are to be maintained by it.
b) Airtel cannot by itself decide not to maintain/replace this by a unilateral policy change. This can be for new customers not old ones who are bound by only services/conditions that it contracted.
c) There has been no notifications of any such change to the customer & its acceptance sought.
d) If such a change is sought to be imposed there should be exit clause to the customer & reimburse all installation/equipment cost.
Needs intervention to have the services restored immediately.
