Dear Sirs,
After making a lot of complaints and follow-ups, I am forced to drop a
mail to highlight my grievances.
I have been a user of Airtel for the past 5 years and many years before
that when I was in Chennai and Mumbai.
History.
My wife is working for a large MNC and recently (july, they were given a
option to claim Telephone/ Broadband costs of Rs. 1500 a month (Provided
the phone is in their name). I accordingly made a request to Airtel
100Feet Indiranagar centre with the necessary documents on the 24th of August
1. NOC, (attested copy scanned and sent to Airtel once again)
2. Proof of identification (Part of the NOC sent)
3. Photographs (duly attested) (Digital copy sent once again.
4. All bills cleared till date (24th August) (copies shown to the airtel manager at 100 feet road indiranagar.
5. A hand written note explaining the reason for shifting and my
relationship with my WIFE.
We were told this would be in effect from the next billing cycle and
this were attested by Mr. Deepak / Lakshmi.
since then we have not heard anything on the status of transfer but are
getting daily calls from the call center for clearing our dues., we have
explained many times and more about the situation and as a last resort
went to the Airtel office (100 Feet road) once again on 13th Oct 2011,
re-submitting the said documents in anticipation for the shift.
WE followed up with complaints to the call center vide number 6565350 (which was later closed without any intimation to us and then once again a complaint which was raised by Airtel itself (7408430).
We were then informed to send the said documents digitally which was done on the 18th of November.
The manager at the airtel service center and all the call center accept this as a error on Airtel's side. but say they are helpless as the system can not accept the shift unless the dues are paid.
In this complete deal I am loosing the 3 months of reimbursement which my wife is to get amounting to 4500 Rs and I am supposed to pay Rs. 3600 + for the phone charges for no fault of mine.
No senior manager is available to speak to us nor is the Nodal office available as the number given to us is of a IVR (mentioned on the airtel site).
Below is the mail train from the appellate officer from Airtel acknowledging the mistake and raising the complaint internally.

Dear Sirs,
The request for name change is never taken on the phone, if I am not mistaken
there is a process of documents which are to be submitted to Airtel, the said
documents were submitted to Airtel on the 24th of August. if the change request
is not updated by Airtel Indiranagar centre on the systems , how am I to be
blamed. I did the same process once agin on the 13th of Oct? how many times do
I need to do this. Is this some kind of a joke.
I have in my earlier mail sent across scanned copies of the documents (as
proof) of submission to Airtel.
Else kindly tell me a process of digitally submitting the said documents.
Can you please give me the grievance cell number of Airtel as I am really
tiered of this digital communications.
Regards
Milind

processed.
However, as per the process we kindly request you to clear the outstanding

Dear Support staff,
In receipt of this mail wanted some clarification.
1. My request for change of name was done on the 24th of August.
2. All bills were paid then.
3. My wife gets a reimbursement of 1500 Rs. per month on submitting bills in
HER name.
4. We have submitted the said documents twice, once on the 24th of August
and once again on the 13th of Oct.
Please inform us as to who will reimburse us the amount of 1500 per month from
Sept/ Oct and November.
I have submitted this said documents twice over and it is the callous attitude
of Airtel staff to loose such important documents and that also twice.
