I was a satisfied user of Airtel IPTV/BB/Landline in Delhi. On 7th September 2011, I had requested for the migration of this connection to Bangalore via email. The reference number given to the transaction was "|BAL|Qrc20709111309485540696|". I shall list the whole story in bullets from here on
  1. On September 12, I replied on the original mail asking for update.
  2. After getting no definitive reply, I escalated the same to nodal.ncr@airtel.in on September 21. In this I had clearly mentioned that my travel date to Bangalore has been fixed on September 26 and the connection in Delhi may kindly be closed by then and I may kindly be advised on the next steps so that I can complete all formalities required in Delhi before the mentioned date. To its reply I was told that a request has been logged with reference number 3662864 and it would be handled shortly.
  3. Again there was no action and on 23rd I wrote a SOS mail asking for immediate help. To this email I received a call and after hearing me out, Nodal officer asked me to deposit my instrument and other equipments at ARC, Sec 5, Dwarka. I en-route to my station drove there and was told that they do not accept any equipment. I called Nodal officer and was told that I should take the equipments with me to Bangalore. I wrote an email while travelling confirming the incident. Again nothing happened.
  4. On October 10 after more than a month from the date of request, I escalated the issue to appellate.ncr@airtel.in requesting for kind assistance. Again I got some more assurance but no work on ground.
  5. Finally on October 21, after multiple reminders, I requested appellate authority to kindly cancel my connection and ensure that the full and final is completed in the current billing cycle itself. This would have helped me to choose a different operator and continue my business as usual. However that was also not honored and the month’s bill had full rental and no closure. Further I was charged for the period from 26th September till date even though I had clearly indicated that there would be no usage and requested for suspension of services.
  6. This is the point where I had escalated to ombudsperson@bharti.in on October 31, requesting for kind intervention and help. However just like the other counterparts, there is no reply.
  7. I had logged a complaint at an online portal India Consumer Forum - A Forum for posting online consumer complaints and reviews and possibly on that basis I got a couple of calls asking me to narrate the story and email from NET@in.airtel.com stating that my connection has been closed w.e.f. 16th November. However when I replied on that email requesting for the status of reversal of rental charged from 26th September to 22nd October, there is again no reply.
  8. Further to add salt to injury, I have got another bill for rental from 23rd October to 16th November.

I am sincerely appalled by this lack of service which has transformed me from a satisfied user to a disgruntled user. I request your kind help to get the same resolved at the earliest so that I can focus on more important things in life.
