    Unhappy Airtel Landline Billing fraud

    Dear Sir,
    I was given a landline (04040151640) by Airtel along with the the internet connection and i was told i will be billed for the landline depending on the usage.

    I made a complaint on the incorrect billing an year back through Core Center Team(8370/4/2010). I got a reply from the Customer service that they are working on the issues. But there is no solution yet.

    Mean time i would like to update on the connected issues i faced. When i complained about the incorrect billing to the help desk i was told that the problem has been identified and will be fixed soon. As informed by the customer care team, i need not pay the bill till the issues is fixed and iam informed. Its an year back and no update what so ever from airtel. I got many threatening calls from airtel collections team about the disconnection of the service and legal action for the late payment. What am i supposed to pay when iam not told what for iam paying since 4 months? Dont i have the right to know what numbers that were dialed from the phone and how much was the total charge? Do i need to pay 50 rupees per monthly bill to airtel? I still made the payment going to the branch office to avoid the disconnection!!!

    Airtel agreed thousand times that its their billing mistake. But they never fixed it. Iam fighting for it from last 1 yr with every bill. Is this the way customers supposed to
    suffer? Gandhiji said customer is GOD. But we are treated worst than animals. We are treated like illiterates. Where are we living? Who is going to punish such companies and help the customers?

    This could be the biggest scam in the world if properly investigated by CBI. If Airtel charging 100 rupees extra through incorrect billing they can make 1000 crores in a month from just 10 crore customers. Just imagine how much they can make with their total customer base in india? Iam not saying this is true. Iam saying this could be
    a possibility.

    I got the bill for december as well. Iam charged 50 rupees extra for the late payment!!?? How on earth iam late in paying when airtel does not fix the problem and tell me what i need to pay? This is rediculous/atrocious. How can a company rob
    the customers like this?

    We see several complaints every day with credit card companies, banks, telecom, consumer goods companies. 95% of the affected customers just dont complain knowing the situation in india. They suffer silently. I want to fight to any extent. Iam ready to go to any extent. I want justice. I want to pave a way to the fellow citizens that there is a way to fight.

    I request serious investigation into this incorrect billing scam and take severe action against such companies. Airtel must be punished severely for putting me through all this. Airtel must be charged huge amounts towards fine for
    collecting money from me generating wrong bill and i must be compensated.

    I request the core team to pay special attention to this case as you are the last hope for justice to the affected customers like me. Thanks in advance.

    Dear Mr. Rakesh,
    Below is the nonsense you keep writing like an auto responder to everyone affected by Airtel service. Check for yourself. But how many did you really solve and close helping the customers in getting out of the agony? Iam sure NONE. Iam sick and tired of this message. Your answer is a clear indication to the whole world that you would only puss things aside rather than solving. If you really want to solve it you must give me a time line to close this issue.
    Give me the following details:
    1. What is the time line to close the issue?
    2. Who is going to call me to know the details and when?
    3. What details you need still?
    4. Why was anything done since more than an year but for this auto reply message?
    5. What on earth stops you guys from investigating the case if you are so sure of billing system?
    6. Why no one owns these complaints to drive them to closure?
    7. Why cant you take the challenges posted by the customers to prove ur honesty?

    And the most valid...WHY IS CONSUMER FORUM taking these indefinite answers from airtel? Can they not enforce guidelines on closing the issue with specific deadlines?

    Mr. Rakesh..get back to me with a definite plan to close this issue if you really mean to. Else let me proceed with the case through consumer forum. Dont just put the customers in darkness hiding the facts. I see many in this forum ruined by airtel kind of companies. I guess its high time CONSUMER FORUM tightens the loose ends and severely punish these fraud companies.

    @ harinathraju If you do not get a response from Airtel within a week or so then please let me know so I can get rid of this Airtel employees face saving excercise once again. I have deleted hundreds of such messages but they keep coming back with new ids. I have told them that I will not allow their messages here unless they do something about the complaints but all I get is assurances.

    Send me a personal message if you dont get a response.

    Sure..i will wait till 12th Oct 2010 for the resolution from Airtel. Will update the same if they fail to. Then please help me to take it to the next level. I want to fight to any extent to make sure no customer in this country suffers like this. These companies must be severely punished for these acts. And..i want an explanation from airtel for not bothering to look into this issues since more than an year. Why do they turn dear ear to customer complaints? They dont have any SLAs when it comes to attending an issue and driving it to closure? If NO...then whats the point consumer fighting for their rights? Why in this country most of the companies rod customers yet our system does not questions them? This entire system must change and customer should be treated like human if not god!!
    There is no company without customers. Then why this horrible treatment to us?
    I deserve an answer. Infact every consumer does.

    I request CONSUMER FORUM to help me get the answers from airtel and also close this issue. YOU ARE THE LAST HOPE FOR THE CONSUMERS IN THIS COUNTRY. Appreciate your help.
