Hi
I have an Airtel landline, broadband connection, 0751-4072757. I want to shift my no. to a new address(Dupelex No. 3, New Vijay Nagar, Behind Ayurveduc College, Aamkho, gwalior), so on tuesday I called customer care(Request No. 6558638). Yesterday I got a call from Bhopal. I was informed that they can not provide me service anymore because the nearest DP is 300 meters away and they won't take the trouble to dig 300 meters. And it was suggested to me that I should disconnect my no.
At my current address, the DP from which I have got my connection, is at east 150 meters away. 11 yrs ago when I took my connection, they dug 150 meters for me on a paved road, for a new customer.
Today when I am an 11 yrs old customer, a loyal customer, they can not dig 300 meters for me, on an unpaved road. This is disgusting.
I was also told that they can give me a new connection at the new address. If they can give me a new connection there why they cant transfer my old no., that is beyond me. The only reason they dont want to transfer my no. is because I have an old plan (Rs. 499, unlimited internet) which is not available anymore, and they dont want to continue this plan.
This is really shameful how Airtel treats an old customer. I want to continue my no., I don't want to disconnect it. There has to be some other option.
Pls give me a reply ASAP.
