I have a wireless landline connection from Reliance Communications bearing telephone no. 040-32995562.
The bill for the current month no. 323026553981 dated 22.04.10 for Rs. 617.00 was served to me by the service provider with a due date of 10.05.10.
I have paid the bill amount rounded off to Rs. 620.00 on 10.05.10 vide receipt no. 367675 dated 10.05.10 of Reliance Communications Infrastructure Limited, Abids, Hyderabad through their authorised collection agent : Reliance Mobile Stores; Shop No. 109 Plot No. 21 & 22 Meghana Complex; Balanagar Hyderabad 500037. This shop gave us the above mentioned manual receipt against the payment received by them.
After the due date I started getting regular phones from Reliance to get the payment for the above bill done immediately as no payment has been credited to our account. I contacted the service centre online ar no. *333 and gave the total details of payment alongwith the receipt no. etc to which I received an SMS on the above phone on 20.05.10 saying " Dear customer, thank you for contacting Reliance. Your service request no. is 126981655. Your request will be resolved in the next 3 days."
Then I received an SMS on 22.05.10 saying " Dear Reliance user, we have not received your bill payment. Pl make payment today to avoid barring of your service"
Finally on 25.05.10 they disconnected the services to my connection saying " Dear Relaince customer, your outgoing call facility has been barred. Pl. contact Relaince customer care for assistance."
All throught this period, we have been contacting the store where the bill payment was made and they have been assuring me that there is a technical problem and it shall be sorted out shortly. Yesterday, when my patience worn out I blasted a person at the store and then only credit was provided on 28.05.10 and my line coould be restored.
Will the consumer forum help me in getting a redressal for wrong doing of either Reliance communications or their authorised stores where the payment was made well in time and still my line remained disconnected for more than 3 days causing me lot of mental agony and business loss.
