    Default Airtel Digital Customer ID- 3005974334

    I Deepak Kerkar, unfortunately the victim of Airtel Digital TV, on 13/06/2011, I had contacted Airtel Digital for up gradation of my HD STB to HD Recorder. So the executive at customer care told me that I’ll be charged Rs.3900/- for the up gradation since I am existing customer.

    So on 13/06/2011 I had charged my a/c customer ID: 3005974334, and I was told by the executive that in 48hrs time my request would be resolved.

    After 4 days when my problem was not solved I called up Airtel and I was learned that in my area PIN code: 403707- Margao, Goa) HD recorder is still not available. So I told the executive if it is so then kindly refund my money (Rs.3900/-) which I had paid for HD recorder and he took my complained for the same.

    Same day evening I received call from Airtel regarding refund, and the executive told me that if I want then they can send me the HD recorder by courier and in 2 to max 4 days time it will be replaced, but for 4 days nobody turned up.

    So on 21/06/2011 when I again called up Airtel one senior executive Ms. Sangpriya told me that they cannot give me the HD recorder as it is still not available in my area. So I asked her to refund my money, but to my surprise she told me that they cannot refund my money either since it has already come in their a/c.

    I was shocked and asked her to give me the contact No. of her senior and she gave me the number of nodal office at Pune. So I contacted Pune Ms. Sushma, she took my complaint and said in 24hrs time my problem would be resolved and gave me the complaint No. 9320550.

    Today morning I received SMS from Airtel that my service request No.9320550 for “refund related” has been resolved. Then I checked with my bank but no transaction was taken place. So I contacted Airtel Ms. Ritu Kour she told me that they have already credited my bank a/c. but the fact was that Airtel was still having my Rs.3900/- in their own account, and when I asked her if my Bank a/c is credited then how come my Airtel account is not debited for same amount. She was not able to answer my question and said if I still want the HD recorder then she can take my request all over again and in max 2 days time it will be supplied to me, and asked me to hold the line so that she could confirm the same with their dealer at Goa also. But she could not get the dealer on line and told me that she would call back.

    But for next 3 hrs when didn’t receive her call I called up Airtel, but the executive told me it is not possible to get Ms. Ritu online so he connected me to another seniors (good for nothing Mr. Ravi) he took my 1hr and at last disconnected my phone.

    Then again I called Airtel and one more senior Mr. Nilesh Choudhary he took my 45 mins and said they cannot supply me HD recorder and my refund would take place on 5th of July that is next month. Then when I lost my temper he said he is taking my complaint again and in 3 days time I will get my money back.

    Query No. 2

    Due to electricity fluctuation on dt: 15/06/2011 my STB adaptor got short-circuit so I contacted Airtel customer care, they told me that if I buy it directly from their dealer from Margaon Pin code:403707 M/s. Globe Enterprise then I will have to pay Rs.250/- and if their person comes at my place and fix it up then I’ll have to pay Rs.350/-. So I said I would collect it from their dealer. And I went to Globe enterprises but their dealer said I’ll have to pay Rs.450/- for the adaptor and when said I was told that it would be Rs.250/- he said he cannot give it at that price. So I contacted Airtel customer care and made them to speak to the dealer but still the dealer refuse to give me the adaptor for Rs.250/-.

    So again they took my complaint and it remained in their system without any outcome. So at last I bought the adaptor from TATA SKY by paying Rs.200/-.

    Now I am fade up with Airtel, at the first place whenever we call their customer care they say their system in under up gradation, if at all their system works then also they keep us waiting for very long to answer our queries.

    I request you all people who are planning to take DTH please don’t go for Airtel, you will repent. And if you are already having Airtel then shift to other services before it’s too late.

    I am stuck here because Airtel is having my money otherwise I would have…………….

    Default unfortunately the victim of Airtel Digital TV

    My problem is still not solved, again on 6th July i received call from Airtel that Rs.3900/- already credited to my Bank a/s. and stopped my reception. Till today i have not received the money in my a/c and i have sent the scanned copies of my bank statement number of time to Airel. Today is 20th and i have cannot watch TV.

    Law please help me.
