I live in Bangalore.I have Airtel Digital TV multi-room connections (2 in total). Each connection have different validity date because I took them on different dates. When I purchased the second connection, I paid the money to Shell Transource cash collector at my place and the money never got credited to the account. I wasn't aware of that. Within few days I started getting the ever harassing SMSs from Airtel and also on the TV about recharging. I got shocked and contacted the customer service. They wouldn't even bother to follow it up with Shell Transource (which seems to a fraud partner of Airtel). I some how got the address of Shell Transource in Bangalore, went to their office and showed them the receipt the guy gave me while collecting the cash and I told them if my amount is not credited into my account immediately, I will go to the police. Then immediately contacted Airtel and credited the amount. Finally the issue got resolved after it reached Airtel Nodel officer. Totally it took them two months to resolve this issue.

Now the problem is, my first connection has expired (since I was out of town), the discontinued it, which is fair enough. But my second connection is still active and valid for two more months and they start displaying messages every 15 minutes that the balance is low. If I call the customer service, they say my balance is negative (based on only the first connection) and they don't understand that they still have my money with them because my second connection is still valid. They just don't want to listen. I get almost 20 annoying calls per day from Airtel Digital TV which is automated (which irritates more).

They have no rights to disturb my viewing of second connection by displaying recharge message on my second connection which is valid. They have no rights to harass me with tons of calls for recharge. I have complained to Bangalore Nodal officer also, but no action has been taken.

I'm going to file a complaint with Consumer court.
