    Hi,
    My customer Id is 300456020. I took airtel DigitalTV connection on 3rd-july-2010 hoping to catch world cup/wimbledon. I took an existing customer pkg INR 999. But ever since the channels that were part of the package never turned up. I have logged innumerable complaints with them(even with nodal officer, stores) but with no resolution.
    Now, I want to terminate the connection and want to get the entire amount reimbursed. But they are not reimbursing the entire amount. As advised here, I've written a mail to the nodal officer before filing a customer court complaint.
    I'm also planning to terminate my relationship with airtel completely. I've been using airtel mobile postpaid and broadband for the last 5 years. But DTV has left a bitter taste and so much so mental agony that I'm forced to do this.

    It's a shame that there's no resolution yet.
    Thanks for the eye-opener. Have already filed for disconnecting DSL and mobile connections (which never gave any issues). But still they are Airtel!

    Angry Airtel DTH

    Airtel DTH has caused us nightmares for the last 3 weeks.

    We purchased Airtel DTH at Ahmedabad. Customer Id 3000894141.
    We relocated from Ahmedabad to Bangalore last month.

    First we called the customer care, and asked them about the re-installation we were informed that we need to contact the guys around our house for quick re-installation.

    For the initial 2 weeks we tried to approach the shop keepers (who sold Airtel DTH) around our area to re install the DTH for us. But none were ready to come. they said they will install only if a new DTH is purchased. Re-Installation they did not come.

    Two weeks went by without the DTH. Last Sunday we called the Airtel Customer Care and then the actual nightmare started.

    They assured us that the service personnel from them would come to our house on wednesday 4PM.
    I took half a day's leave from office and went home. Even called the Customer care again as a reminder.
    They asked me not to worry and the service personnel would be on time.

    I waited till 5:15 and called the customer care back.
    They said that he will come.
    Again called them after an hour. to which I got a reply, its late now, so probably he missed the appointment, I mentioned about taking half a day's leave, to which they replied "we have time till august 5th to resolve your issue"

    I was shocked, dont they value customer's time? on wednesday I spoke to 4 different customer rep's
    Asha (said she will call me in an hour to let me know the status but never called back), Dileep (i asked him to connect to his manager so that I can put forth my issue, he made me listen to airtel song for 10 minutes and disconnected me), Andrew (this guy needs training, he is unfit to be in customer care), solomen(he seemed mature and understood my problem)

    Then too I raised a disconnection request, as it was already 2.5 weeks without any cable connection at home.

    on thursday morning i got call from a lady asking me no to disconnect and they be given one chance.
    August 5th being thursday she said by today evening DTH will be re installed.

    Yestrday too no luck, finally in the evening I only had to call Customer care and remind them again.

    Again they said friday it will be done.
    I am waiting today... I called custoemr care some time back, varalakshmi said we have time till 5:30 so wait. I see wednesday's incident repeating again for today.

    No one has called me yet. Its 1PM in the afternoon and according to customer care I will get DTH re-installed within 5:30PM which makes me very skeptical.

    Honestly!!! I dont want Airtel DTH. I want a refund for investing in that junk which is currently lying as a showpiece and serving no purpose. Even airtel itself is not bothered about installing for customers...

    Best part is, I see that they are deducting my daily rental:-o

    I would seriously advice everyone on the web to not opt for airtel DTH

    Angry Not able to change pachae and talk to customer care executive

    I bought airtel digital recorder box last month and now I want to change the package. When I called the customer care several times, my call gets disconnected and I am not able to change the package. Also when I try to contact a customer care executive, my call gets disconnected in the beginning itself. Its going on for the past 3 weeks. Can anybody help me in this regard.     Default regarding getting new AIRTEL DTH

    My customer id: 3004962624 T-id: i don't want to give

    horrible service i have seen in my life is AIRTEL DTH. personally i recommend not to go for this from my experience.

    i have made the payment and they said with in 2 days it will be done. but it has been more than 7 days no body called me and instead daily i will be calling them. till now i have spoke with so many people almost 10 people ...Aravind , bharat,nagaraj,kiran,mansa(she said floor supervisor,,hopes atleast its true) , then sayed ( he says himself manager but when ask abt process the way they work,,,don't know).

    Actually the payment was done through IVR and Transaction id was provided to me with customer id (here mansa say cust id is created only after payment is made...and sayed says that customer id is created without making payment also.. ) and when ever i make a call to them each time they will ask me my C-id AND T-id and after getting that they will say "sorry for inconvience caused, it will be done in 24 hrs" but still the 24 hrs has not come.

    The same process continued from day 3 and still going on. They are they guys who gave me all details and each time they said,,,i got fed up with this....and at last took best and good decision ....to SAY NO TO AIRTEL IN MY LIFE....i have AIRTEL CONNECTION FOR PHONE ALSO..REALLY I REGRET FOR THAT....and going to throw the SIM in dustbin...best place for it.

    Some executies told me sir you have not made the payment and when i see in bank account statements its cleary mentioned the paymetnt is done to AIRTEL DTH NAVI MUMBAI. and some executive even asked me to contact the local dealer and get the set top box and dish and get installed...(then i really don't know for what i made payment to them..i could have done earlier itself)...

    the story will go on...single line...NEVER GO WITH AIRTEL DTH CONNECTION...ITS JUST LIKE GIVING MONEY AND GETTING TENSION ONLY..

    I am really distraught to see the response & state of affairs of once my favourite company Airtel particularly its DTH services.

    It is worth to inform you that I had purchased Rs.999/- Airtel DTH through credit card via telephone on 26 or 27 August 2010 and was promised installation within 72 hours. But the installation was done only on 5 September 2010 after various requests and complaints at 12148/50. Now when the installation was finally done the activation was not done and I was told to wait for 24 hrs more.

    I would like to tell you that these commitments proved to just a crude joke. Earlier your executives assured me that they will get it installed within the stipulated time and will do follow up with me, but nobody cared to follow up and finally installation was done after 10 days . Now that installation has been done they are again delaying my activation. I was told by the customer care office,nodal office, installation division and what not departments that my request would be looked into but believe me the response has been horrible. Even my emails were not responded. I request you to kindly get my conversations checked from your customer support, even you will realize how mess has it been now. After all this back and forth conversations, nobody cared to activate it till date.


    And why am I writing you is just to convey the rot in some of your offices and to provide me relief. I am an ordinary customer but do not compel me to do some extraordinary things including suing your company for agonizing me.

    Being an airtel mobile customer from year 1999, I have not seen such lax approach ever. I wish I had never bought that bullshit DTH connection. It has really pained me and nobody is there to mitigate it.

    I now request you to kindly look into the matter and explain to me why I should not take legal course for this agonizing experience I had with your staff and why I should not start a negative publicity campaigns through Internet and word of mouth against your product.

    One more thing, your sales managers/coordinators for J & K or Kashmir are horrible staff members your company can ever get. I was given telephone number of your coordinator for further communication but it seems that nobody cares in Airtel, I gave him my details and he promised to get my connection activated but never followed up even after promising me, now he dsnt even take my calls. Just tell me did I commit crime in buying your rubbish product?

    I live in Hyderabad and Today its 11th Sep,2010 and "I HAVE NOT GOT AIRTEL DTH INSTALLED YET".
    I am immensely disappointed by the pathetic customer service I experienced on buying Airtel DTH connection.
    I registered on airteldthservices.com with my airtel mobile no. on 30th August, 2010, on receiving an sms with title TD-Airtel HD,saying "Airtel Dish bilkul free aapke mobile pe.Yeh Gift aapko Ad serve ke dauran apko diya jata hain.More details login www.airteldthServices.com.Last date,30th August, 2010."

    On 31 August,2010, I got a call from one Ms Ruby who claimed to be from Airtel Delhi customer care, ph no. 011204087653, asking me when to schedule a connection and on asking about the offer she said there is no such offer.
    She said one person would come and take the payment of Rs 1690 for the installation.On 3rd Sep,2010, I get a call from Ms. Ruby again saying today a guy would come and take the payment.Then the same day one Mr.Ravinder comes and takes the payment of Rs.1690 giving a receipt of Vriti infocomm,noida with an airtel logo at top left end of the recipt..He gave 2 contact nos.One his own and the other his manager Puneet's.

    These 2 people have not responded very well each time we got back to them for the past 8 days.Each time we call they say your installation will be done tomorrow, but that tomorrow never comes.And to top it all, Mr. Puneet says that he is busy all the time in meetings, so he can't pick the call.
    Today its 11th Sep,2010 and "I HAVE NOT GOT AIRTEL DTH INSTALLED YET".
    Then after lot of heated talks over the phone with them, I get a customer id: 3005207434.

    I cannot come to understand WHY DOES AIRTEL HAVE CUSTOMERS EXPERIENCE THIS ATYACHAAR.

    IF THIS IS THE STATE OF AFFAIRS, I WOULD SO NOT RECOMMEND ANY AIRTEL SERVICE TO PEOPLE.

    Default Refund of Recharge Money!!!!

    Dear Sir/Madam,

    Customer ID: 3000 745 165

    I have registered Complaint#3929726 on 22nd Sep. for Refund of My Balance Amount (INR 685) since I have closed the Account and All the Devices are collected by the companyfrom home.

    When i Enquired about the status at 11:30AM Today from Helpdesk I was told that Money CANNOT Be Refunded.

    I Argued that I was already told by Helpdesk 3-4 times and Even I got call from Customer Manager from Delhi HO and I was Assured that Money will be REfunded back.

    After my argument, Helpdesk person consulted Senior person and assured me that Money WILL BE Refunded.

    At 12:30PM Same day, I again called to check with Help desk to check when and how I will get Money back. To MY SHOCK, I was told that MONEY WILL NOT BE REFUNDED BACK.

    I Told him, I got positive Answer from same help desk just and Hour back but he was in Negative.

    So I Want to Know:

    1. What is the POLICY on REFUND of BALANCE RECHARGE Amount once Connection is closed?

    2. Why AM I Getting Two Completly DIFFERENT Answers from Same Helpdesk?

    3. Will I Get REFUND of MY AMOUNT? I Expect a DEFINATE Answer Please....


    Pls. reply ASAP Since it has been A MONTH Now I am CHASING Airtel for Connection Closing and NOW REFUND...

    I will decide whether to approach Consumer Court based on your reply..

    PS: You can check History of my Complaints(7 in total in month) and still MENTAL HARRASMENT is UNDENDING...

    Thumbs down Shifting of Airtel DTH connection

    Hi,
    I requested for shifting of my Airtel DTH connection(no: 3003834828) from HSR Layout to Brookefields on 13th October, 2010. But even as of now, I have not got any response from the Airtel people .Whenever I raise a complaint, I get the message that the complaint is resolved , but no one has come to my place and shifted my connection, or atleast bothereed about my request. I am getting rude answers whenever I talk to the engineer in charge.This is the worst service I have seen in my whole life. Till now I have opened 4 complaints about this, but to no effect. I am planning to cancel my connection and get a TATA sky plan which I think is better customer care.

    with due regret this is to inform you that im having customer id 3000556644 by the name of amandeep singh , i had booked a dish reinstallation on 31st October 2010, but till today it is pending. i had a talk with customer care but even they were not able to resolve my problem, im very surprised to see that the company who is making very big promises while sale his dish tv ,is very bad at after sale service . i really had a very bad experience and will not continue the service of airtel in future and even not recommend the same to any one,
    your engineer gives me a call in morning and told me that he will come at 7.00 pm in evening but not come till this time and when i contacted him back at 9:18 pm complaining the same , he abused me over the phone and misbehaved with me very badly.even he had used such a shame full words that i cannot even write here

    Regarding my Complaint no communication has been received from Airtels side till time,
    this is very bad on the part of airtel.Even your engineers dont know how to talk with the customets, their behaviour is very rude and bad. You should tech them aleast how to treat with the customers. Any how now after this great level of torture i simply dont want to continue with the services of Airtel and decided to discontinue the same.
    please discontinue my airtel DTH and refund my amount that i had already given to you.
    in addition to this im not satisfied with the services of airtel so i am also thinking over to discontinue my following mobile nos:-

    Default airtel missguided the new customer

    I purchased a new airtel dth connection through IVR on 02/11/2010 and my transaction ID is 11609722, at the time of purchase the sales person Mr Sanjay from airtel customer care assure me that connection will be established within 48 hrs but it is surprising that after the time duration has expired I call customer care about 20 times and all are promise to resolve the issue within 48 hrs.After inform to the airtel haryana nodal office on 8th nov they install the dish and set top box but still the connection not activated .I asked to customer care and they inform me that no package has been selected against my customer ID.The other thing is the nodal office advice me contact to the nearest dealer whether I have not purchase from dealer but still I tried severel time to contact the dealers phone (kabir enterprise, mob-9896909333) but he is not ready to recieve the phone.
    this is the history and the conclusion is after purchasing the connection on 2nd nov stil the value for money is NIL.

    Default Installation not done

    Dear Sir,

    I bought a Samsung LCD TV. Along with this I was offered a Airtel HD set top box at a offer rate of Rs.750/- The samsung dealer told me to contact the nearest Artel dealer and pay the money to them to receive the set top box.

    As instructed by the dealer I paid Rs.750/- to my nearest Airtel Dealer (Bhavani Electricals) and the transaction was complete and I received SMS with transaction Id:1181192.

    I also called the Airtel Customer care and registered my self with Id: 3005787416.

    Meanwhile my Airtel dealer gave me 2 local customer care numbers (9500205544 and 9500827210) to get details about installation.

    As usual I made call to the numbers on 2.11.2010 and the people told me that by 3rd they will install.

    Then on 4th Nov I again called them and I got result as it is Diwali and can not be installed.

    Today the date is 10.11.2010. I was informed that on 11.11.2010 the installation will be done at any cost. But never turned up. Airtel is good in keeping promises and breaking it.

    If I contact the Airtel customer care at Bangalore they say we understand the problem and Sorry but no solution for installations.

    I request you to look into this problem and solve this at the earliest.

    Default strong complaint against the services

    my customer id is 3001229885-001 .My airtel dth has not been working properly since 21st oct ,finally i registered my first complaint on 4th nov morning 8 am [numbered 4344215] but when that complaint fell on deaf ears i registered another complaint on 5th morning [numbered 4354808] i was promised by a senior employee that my problem will be taken care of soon;even after many reminders no one has made an attempt to visit us or call back and give us a patient hearing or redress our complaint .i am left with no other option but to discourage near and dear ones to buy airtel dth ,and if need be to register my complaint in consumer forum for i have already paid a full year's subscription[mega pack] .with regerts mrs shanta dass

    mare a/c mai positive balance hai or last 3 months sai mare tv screen mai massege aata hai (10 to 15 times) ki your balance is negative pls recharge.
    maine kai bar custumer care mai complaint ki par mujhe lagta hai ki inke pas iska koi solution nahi hai har bar 48 hours ka time de dete hai par koi solution nahi nikalta mai last koshish kar raha hun agar kuch ho saka to thik hai nahi to consumer court mai case file karunga

    yesturday my setup box stop working properly. I immediately a complaint through telephone, they told me that there person will come in next day(i.e.16nov2010) before 4.30pm.But now it is7.00pm there no response from them I had made so many so calls to them they are just extending the time.

    I was booked and payment online on dated 03 November 2010 for one no. dth connection on address -VPO-Newari.Distt-Basti-272172 order no is HO-03/11/10CAL-23671 FROM CCAvenue .When booked 03 nov 2010, offer was Rs-990 cash back and one month subscription free in Rs-690 after booked i have revived a mail that product will deliver in 03 to 05 working days at my address when delay my connection then i was called to customer care on dated 09/10/2010 that i have no revived my product customer care say that your produced will be revived on Monday dated 15/11/2010 and you will found same offer when was your order booked dated and customer care give a docket no -220545 of sigma express of phone no -08066219400 when called this no i found that this wrong no.i have no revived any courier right now,a distributor, a set box set my address on dated 15 Nov 2010 but he product not activated on dated .,in spite of regular telephoning request to customer care but not taken positive action and customer care was saying that you will not found any offer because offer has been end whenever i was payment on 03 Nov 2010,when i aclled to custmer care the he say i arrenge back call with in two hours but to four day i was daily called and same ans call back call in hours but i hv revived no any call.sir this is my mentally harassment and frauds i want given FIR in polish station against dish tv and consumer court otherwise please solved this matter as soon as possible,

    Thumbs down Airtel Digital TV Is WORST

    I taken digital TV On 01 Nov 2010 and day onwards I started geting video problem during evening so called customer care and given complaint.
    After so many calls one engineer was sent, he replaced some part and said now it will not have any problem. But it was having same issue in the evening so again I complaint but till now not getting any positive responce from Airtel.

    Since last three days I spoke to Floor Supervisor (18, 19, 20 and 21 Nov with Mr Satish and Today evening with Mr. Rahul)
    Now my TV is showing NO SIGNAL.

    Kindly advice me how to get my money back from this type of Modern Cheaters???
