    Default Beware of SUNDIRECT

    Ref: Smart card No. 41433122136
Recently we had shifted from New Delhi to Faridabad and informed Sundirect customer care to reinstall the DTH which we brought along with us. The persons who came from "Guru Communication, Faridabad", dealer of SUNDIRECT had cheated us Rs.350/- by replaceing the LNB unnecessarily. After installing the dish at the roof with the help of our orginal LNB they came down to give connection to the SET TOP BOX (STB). There was no signal at this end of the cable. Then one of them went to the roof and changed the LNB and the picture came. Doesn't it reveal some foul play? If the LNB was defective they would have known it at the time of dish installation itself. With the help of LNB only the satellite can be located. Meantime the person who replaced the LNB had kept our LNB in his bag. If it was defective he would not have taken it. Hence I took it back from him. I thought this can be reported to SUNDIRECT with clear evidence, so I paid Rs.350/-. For installation they had charged another Rs.350/-, which was higher than the rate for it.
Later I came to know that the LNB given to us was not new but old one taken from some other customer. Our original LNB when connected to the dish worked perfectly.
Complaints were lodged from customer care to Nodal Officer, but no action from their side. That means they are hand in glove with the dealers to cheat the customers.
    So BEWARE of SUNDIRECT persons.

    Beware of SUNDIRECT
This may save somebody, not only from SUNDIRECT but also from other DTH service providers also, who adopt this as on of their methods to cheat the customers.
    Thanks in advance.

Yesterday (16/12/2011) I had mailed the link of this page to Sundirect nodal officers of all states except Haryana. Response came within few hours. Somebody who claimed to be from Sundirect agreed to refund the cash. Today (17/12/2011) afternoon the same persons from 'Guru Communication', Faridabad came and connected our orginal LNB and returned Rs.350/- to take back the one given to us. As I mentioned earlier, our LNB had no problem. Since they insisted for a receipt, it was given with a note "Action may be taken for cheating". Finally the matter was resolved after 45 days.
Remember the following things while paying for an item:
    1. Do not allow to take the removed item. If they are trying to take it away, then it will not be defective.
    2. Make sure the replaced one is new.
    3. Pay the cash only after getting the receipt with the name of replaced item.
