I applied online for a new digitalTV connection.
I had made the payment of Rs. 3100 for South mega package about 12 days ago. I was told that the connection will installed with next 2-3 days. 12 days have passed, no one has come to install the connection.
The payment was made by my HDFC-Visa credit card by phone (by using phone key pad). A transaction ID was given to me after the payment. Phone call for making the payment came from a Airtel office number: 02241304100. The money debited from my credit card on 7th July to Airtel digitaltv. One Day after the payment, someone from Airtel (Contact number: 12148, I am not able to connect this number from my Vodaphone mobile) informed me by phone that he will come to install the connection on that day. No one came since then. I called several times to Airteldigital and spent more than 50 rupees of phone bill. One customer care person said on 14th July that I will be informed about the installation within 24 hrs. Oneone called me so far. I called Airtel digital again on 15th July and was asked to report this by email. I have not received any reply till 24 hrs passed.
They have not sent any confirmation of the payment also. But I suppose that this was not a fraud transaction as I can see in my credit card statement as the receiver is Airtel digital.
