I am having issues with my airtel digital TV connection (Customer ID: 3002923996)
A person from airtel technical department came to my house on 15th September 2011, and told about the change in satellite for airtel DTH. He made some adjustments in the dish antena and none of the Channels are seen from that day.
I raised a complaint the same day, and an engineer came to my house to resolve it.
He informed us that there is a problem with the LNBS and it needs replacement and I need to pay for it.
I started getting 4-5 channels from that day, and some channels with scrambled video during noon time alone.
Airtel is asking service charge for every engineer visit (does not matter who is responsible for the issue), and for the LNBS replacement which I am not responsible for.
I was getting all the channels properly till 15th September 2011.
I am still charged at the rate of Rs. 9 per day.
I raised the same concern with airtel many times and I could not get any positive response till now.

The procedure for disconnecting the account also looks a bit complicated for me. (Very recently I recharged my account for Rs. 1000 - which I now think that it was a blunder. Otherwise I would have gone for another connection already.)
Now, considering the hops for getting a new connection, and the fear that I might loose the money in my airtel tv account, I am forced to pay for the LNBS.
Think twice before you take a new Airtel TV connection.
