    Default Complaint against Airtel Digital TV Agent: Mr. Tirupathy

    I had asked for an urgent Digital TV installation day before yesterday. I had talked to Mr. Tirupathi at the Customer Care number. He assured me that if I pay by Credit Card(IVR), I would get the connection and installation done by 12 pm maximum the next day(i.e. yesterday). For this purpose, I had taken the 1st half off from my office and had told Mr. Tirupathi that I would be doing that. He repeatedly promised and assured me that it would be done(after confirming from his senior). It is already 10 am (24 hours late) and I have no call from any technician.
    I have called the customer care atleast 25 times but there is no posititve response
    from their side.I am totally sick and tired of Airtel's service.
    I would like to lodge a complaint against Mr Tirupathi and request Airtel Digital TV department to take suitable curative and preventive action.
    From my side, I assure you that I am never going to refer any friend/colleague of mine to go for a Digital TV connection. For the sake of getting a new connection, these people continue to lie. But they tend to forget word of mouth publicity which might make them lose 10 other customers.Tata Sky seems to have much better Services compared to your department. Please improve and expedite. I would like suitable compensation for the loss of 1 day office along with the mental harassment done. And please refund my money. I don't want this connection anymore.

    Mr Rakesh,

    I would like to know how the concern has been resolved. I did finally get the connection but please let me know what preventive/curative action was taken.

    I had mentioned in my post: "I would like suitable compensation for the loss of 1 day office along with the mental harassment done". Please let me know what resolution was provided to the above concern.

    I booked the airtel digital tv online on 28thapr 2012. The same day i got a call from delhi saying the installation will be done within 24 hrs. But no one called me or came for installation upto now. I keep calling customer care on 12150, every time they keep saying the installation people will contact you within 2hrs. Or some one says i will forward the mail to backend team or they will try to connect to marketing/sales dept, where the call will always disconnect. But no installation done upto now, I thought airtel is best in service. I didn’t expect this from you people.
