    Default Complaint Against Airtel on DVR connection

    Hi,

    I have booked an airtel DTH connection on feb-6,2011 Via SMS.After two days on Feb,08 an Airtel employee called for explaining the details of Airtel DTH.I said him clearly that i want an HD connection.Airtel guys told me take DVR setup box saying its an HD as well as you can record the TV content.But after using it i have found that the Airtel DVR is not an HD setup box.Even i contacted the Customer Care and even they confirmed that it is not a HD set top box and it does not display the HD content.Even i have verified the manual supplied with the set top box it also confirms that it displays only "HDMI Fixed 576p only" which is not a HD.Any HD content sholud display 1080p resolution.I was totally given false information about the product and was cheated by the Airtel sales employees on this.When i call the Airtel employees who have sold me the connection they never bother to answer my queries,they dont lift the phone and they dont behave professionally as well.Now i have lost the total faith on Airtel brand.Which one of the big brands of india.

    I want Airtel to either instal HD DTH connection or refund the money paid by me.

    I have paid them a Rs.4990. for this connection.

    Hi Airtel,

    It been more than 24 hrs since i posted this complaint.I didnt see any response from Airtel till now.
    Can i know what is been planned at your end to fix this problem.

    As per the update from you on my compliant from the thread Airtel DVR DTH have mailed you my contact details.Iam looking for a response and resolution from Airtel on this.

    HI,

    Its been more than 5 days ....Can i know is Airtel commited to resolve this problem.I didnt get any

    response from the Airtel till now.This is really a pathetic service by Airtel.

    Hi,

    I have provided Airtel with all the necessary information.Does Airtel has anything to update on this.

    Its more than a week since since i posted this complaint still i dont see anything concrete from Airtel

    till now.I expect a Quick resolution from Airtel ASAP.

    Hi,

    This is totally reckless service from Airtel..its been more than 10 days since i posted this complaiant and till date Airtel is not even bother to give a prompt reply on this...even any govt. company would would work better than this....Airtel hardly sells 3 DTH products and the pity part is they dont even know what they are selling to their customers...They sold Airtel DVR to the customers saying its a HD set top box...and many customers are cheated this way.This is totally a fraud done by Airtel.When we call the installation team or the customer care or even this consumer forum...no one bother to give a reply to customer...they dont even lift the phone...its really pathetic to see such a big company like Airtel ...who works this way...cheating the customers....Even if we look at the number of threads posted in the DTH forum 80%-90% of them belong Airtel only....it is really a mistake done by me having opted this connection
    .
    At all i would suggest to think twice before going for Airtel.I totally lost faith in this company.

    I demand Airtel to refund my money back...I expect Airtel to atleast reply to this.
