I purchased a new dish true hd set top box and they gave me 2 months free subscription with platinum pack and 4 High Definition channels.But after 2 months when i wanted to recharge it again for silver pack then they asked me i couldn't downgrade my pack and they charged me 100 rupees extra per month for 4 HD channels . I asked the company executive that I don't want your HD channels but he said this is mandatory. I am charged for the pack and the channels of HD which I didn't want . Please consider my complaint and help me to get out this unnecessary charges.

DO NOT GO IN FOR THIS!!! It's SHAM!!! Most of those 30 channels are upscaled, there's no conceievalbe differnce between the regulars and the HDs. Only Discovery HD World, Nat Geo HD and Movies Now are actually HD. Besides, THEY DONT PROVIDE 5.1 DOLBY AUDIO. THEY JUST PROVIDE STEREO AUDIO EVEN FOR THE HD CHANNELS. I switched from Tata Sky HD to Dish TV HD for more channels, but I feel like I've been swindled. Even the website is quite misleading. I had to read it CAREFULLY to see that they were offering "THEATER QUALITY STEREOPHONIC SOUND" which to me is meaningless!!! Overall it's a sham company with a sham product that just fleeces customers by putting up misleading fine-prints... TATA SKY ROCKS!!!

Also it contains all the channels available with Dish TV, thus in a way Dish TV is forcing customers with HD STB to pay and see channels against their requirement and will. The customers have no freedom to select channels of their choice, but to submit to the exploitation of Dish TV.

I would like to bring out that Dish TV did not inform me about this policy prior to installation. It is also not mentioned in any voucher/ promotional advertisement of Dish TV HD.

I would like to inform that other HD DTH providers like Airtel, Tata Sky have given full freedom of choice to their customers. Also Dish Tv has customized packs available for customers with normal STB, but is hard bent to fool and exploit customers with HD STB.

Sir, I have seen similar complaints from other Dish TV HD subscribers on various Blog sites on net. Such opportunist, unfair and oppressing compulsions of Dish TV HD are not acceptable.

I have pasted this above messsage by Mr.Sharma..cos we r also experiencing te same problem with dish tv..we r also facing teh same problem..we bought a samsung LED ..and it was not informed that at the time of sale nor at the time of installation that we have recharge only for 325/=...

we rarely watch teh channels given in this packge...I came to know this fact only when i recharged for first time today...

this is really atrocious...i had a videocon dth...i got all channels for just 300 per month...im not geting even half of those channels in dish tv...

complaint no57743480, 59380411,59521159,59525617,are all closed within 2 hrs of raising complaint. I have been trying past 1 month but Dish TV will not resolve your queries ever. instead they shall keep on raising new complaint and state that this time it shall be resolved. I just spoke to someone called Tushar and he gave me a complaint number again 59554713.
How to escalate-I dont know really. I cant get through numbers of their senior staff. Does anyone have?
For all customers to be in future, just don't buy Dish TV... You shall regret buying. All their HD channels are fake. They are cheating customers by stating 35 HD channels. None of these so called HD channels have any clarity like HD.
