    Default Pathetic experience with "Airtel HD DVR" upgrade!!!

    Dear All,

    This is Bijendra, from Bangalore.

    I upgraded (???) from normal Airtel SD Digital connection to HD DVR connection 3 weeks back. My experience so far has been horrible to say the least.

    First they took 7-10 days just for installation.
    Then, the installation engineer didn't bring HDMI cable (a requirement for HD streaming and part of DVR package). On contacting the installation agency they promised to deliver the same next day. I followed up contineously with them but no results. Now, their number is out of order??? Looks like they're stealing the pricy (market price 600-880/-) HDMI cable from the customers. Thi reflects on the company "Airtel" which is supposed to take care of full process form receiving payment to successful instalaion. I'm trying to reach Airtel DTH customer support via mobile but, my calls always (yes always) disconnect at the option where they announce to connect you to the customer care executive. I also tried puting my request "twice" via online line at Airtel DTH weblink, that didn't work either. I didn't receive any call or SMS from Airtel on my complaint status. For me the bridge between customer and Airtel is badly broken and no communication is possible. The intermediat agencies like H/W provider and instalation folks are taking unue advantage of the failed process which is deminishing the company "Airtel" image badly. No wonder even with much better technology and lots of spendings on advertisements Airtel is still less that half of market share to another mediocre competitor Dish TV.

    Here I'm left with frustration "even after 3 weeks from installation date" after paying in advance.

    Hope somone is paying attention.

    No response from anybody yet.
    Was the response I got from Airtel Curtomer Service team a computer genrated message or a genuine one!!!

    Please confirm on the status of the complaint.

    Default airtel dvr remote recording activation delay

    my name is saraswathi. we bought airtel dvr box. we wish to activate the recording option through mobile(remote recording). this option is available in that dvr. we called to customer, relationship center and also to the technical head offices. no body respose properly. if we press the recording option in mobile, it will show the message "upgrade yr airtel dv recorder to active yr recording. sms to 54325."lke this.sms to this more than 7 times. past 2 days we continously trying. we can't active that fecility. please give me a solution fr this problem.

    Thumbs down airtel worst customer experience

    I sympathise with Bijendra. I am in pretty much the same state. its been 7 days , 50 calls to various customer care numbers and 100 empty promises, including one from an outbound call from a senior exec. Iam still left with prepaid RS 3990 in my account and no hddvr settop box installed yet. brilliant airtel with triple play services installed in my house and 4 mobile accounts and being a loyal customer, this is how you pay me back. You guys should be ashamed and bury your heads in the sand for such paphetic customer service. Refund back my money and don't rob people.

    Default Shameful Airtel installation

    I dont' know why EVERY big services company sucks big time in Bangalore, including big multinational chains. Even their landline telephone isntallation guys are pathetic.
    I was planning to take aritel dvr..but after all these comments..am having second thoughts...

    Thumbs down Horrible HD DVR experience from Airtel. I want my money back ...

    Dear Friends,

    Please, please do not take HD DVR connection from Airtel, their HD DVR boxes are faulty and their customer care experience is horrible.

    I started having this problem wherein the HD DVR box becomes totally unresponsive and I cannot even change a channel on it. Inspite of contacting the customer care, and the engineer visiting asking us to get the box changed, it seems we have to follow the distributo on our own and Airtel is not at all responsible for replacing the box. The distributor's response being that HD DVRs are out of stock and he has no idea when they will be back in stock. I called up the nodal officer of Haryana next and he sent a guy to replace the box. But guess what, the replacement box now has exactly the same problems. I feel totally cheated and want my money back. I am planning to switch over to another service provider.
