I upgraded (???) from normal Airtel SD Digital connection to HD DVR connection 3 weeks back. My experience so far has been horrible to say the least.
First they took 7-10 days just for installation.
Then, the installation engineer didn't bring HDMI cable (a requirement for HD streaming and part of DVR package). On contacting the installation agency they promised to deliver the same next day. I followed up contineously with them but no results. Now, their number is out of order??? Looks like they're stealing the pricy (market price 600-880/-) HDMI cable from the customers. Thi reflects on the company "Airtel" which is supposed to take care of full process form receiving payment to successful instalaion. I'm trying to reach Airtel DTH customer support via mobile but, my calls always (yes always) disconnect at the option where they announce to connect you to the customer care executive. I also tried puting my request "twice" via online line at Airtel DTH weblink, that didn't work either. I didn't receive any call or SMS from Airtel on my complaint status. For me the bridge between customer and Airtel is badly broken and no communication is possible. The intermediat agencies like H/W provider and instalation folks are taking unue advantage of the failed process which is deminishing the company "Airtel" image badly. No wonder even with much better technology and lots of spendings on advertisements Airtel is still less that half of market share to another mediocre competitor Dish TV.
Here I'm left with frustration "even after 3 weeks from installation date" after paying in advance.
Hope somone is paying attention.
