my Tata Sky subscriber Id is 1000441384
Last year I opted for a mega pack of 1 yr. Due to some miscommunication with the Customer support center I deposited about Rs 1700 extra. I did not bother to correct it or get a refund and thought I would top it up next year for another round of mega pack subscription this year.
During the cricket world cup in 2011, the set top box stopped working, I called up the customer support center, they proposed to "upgrade" to High Definition Set top box. I agreed and thought of watching the World Cup in High Definition, I paid for the HD Set top box to the engineers who came to install.
At the end of the year I was shocked to know that, they automatically created another subscriber Id, and move to HD was not an upgrade, they auto activated a second tv request and started deducting money from the other spoiled standard set top box. I had never requested for a parallel tv nor do I own a second tv. they took the opportunity to use the extra money from my account.
When the mega pack expired, I was surprised to know I have no balance with Tata sky. I have raised complaints since Dec 19th and no body has reverted back although on every interaction they promised it would be resolved in 24 hrs
Since I opted for a 1 yr mega pack, the mistake I made was not checking my account for the entire duration. However, they can easily check if the other set top box is being accessed or no. No acknowledgement from the customer support department and finance department.
Very poor customer service,need to repeat the whole history again and gain.
Inspite of the fact that I am subscribed to Tata Sky for the last 5 yrs. I am forced to look for other options, Tata Sky can keep the extra money as calling them up and providing the history again and again is a waste of time and money
