I am a Tata Sky subscriber since 2007.
I ordered a Tata Sky HD Plus on 6th September 2011. I was promised by your sales people that this will be delivered to me the same day – i.e., on the 6th. However, after receiving the payment by Credit Card, the box was conveniently not delivered for an extended period of time.
I must have made at least a dozen calls from the 6th to the 10th when the box was finally delivered.
However, the box delivered was a defective one which seems a deliberate ploy by their
team.
I have since made repeated complaints about the defective box. However, till date there is no response from your team about when they will replace the box. All they say is that they need more time as “THE BOX IS NOT AVAILABLE IN YOUR AREA.” Are you telling me that there haven’t been any boxes delivered in Mumbai for the last 4 days (just taking the registered complaint date of 18th September)?
Its become agonizingly frustrating for me to deal with this situation. Each time I call, I speak to a different person and the response is similar.
Then to rub salt in the wound, I called up Tata Sky asking for purchase of a new BOX. They said that its available and will be delivered within 24 hours. So if I am buying a new box, its available and if its for a replacement of a deliberately supplied defective box, then there are no boxes available.
I never expected this type of service from a Tata Group company. Personally I think it’s a shame on the Tata name.
