Dt: 23-11-11 SUB: TATA SKY NOT HONOURING ITS COMMITMENT OF 50% CASHBACK OFFER

Hope this letter reaches the highest authorities in Tata Sky (if anybody is listening). There was an offer of 50% off on HD PVR box for which I SMSed HD to 56633 at 9:01 pm on 29-10-2011. I also called up the helpline number at 11:48 pm the same night (from my no. 9416046120) for availing this offer. The gentleman told me that you will be called back shortly regarding this. I received a call from Tata sky (No. 04027655815 at 11:51 am on 31-10-11) and a person named Mr. Sachin told me to avail the above mentioned offer. After receiving few calls and complete assurances regarding the offer from the same person during that day, the transaction was done at 6:13 pm on PH No. number 04027655815 on 31-10-11 itself. I called up on 6th of November as I didn’t receive my HD PVR box. To my shock, it was told that my request has been closed. When they learnt that the transaction has already been made, a lady on the customer care created my new ID 1074435593. I also told her to consider the fact that I have bought the connection in 50% cash back offer. She assured me that everything will be taken care of. The installation was done on 9Th but till date I never got the offer as promised to me. I am pursing this matter with the call centre people on regular basis. First they were giving me assurances that it will be sorted in 48 hrs. I got a call today that they are not giving me this offer. On asking the reason they told that the ID was created on 6th Nov so they are unable to give me this offer. My points are:
1) When the transaction was made on 31st Oct. why was my request closed without my consent?
2) Why was I not informed that by making a new ID you stand to loose the offer?
3) Why was I being given false assurances whole of this duration?
During the last call from Tata sky I asked these questions from the lady but she was struggling with answers and could not satisfy my queries. She said that my seniors have told me to say so. I requested her to help me talk to some senior officer with the powers of executive decision but she expressed her inability. That is why I have to mail this letter. I am a loyal customer of Tata sky but this incidence has made me think whether loyalty pays? (I am thinking of disconnecting all my other connections as well).I also gathered that this confusion could be due the mobile no. from which I called as it its RMN for my other connections (I already have 4 connections). It is for your people to see how to follow procedures and customer is not harassed. Kindly resolve the matter at the earliest. If in case it is not resolved then the deal should be cancelled and my payment returned. I hope this letter goes to the highest of the authorities in Tata sky.
Expecting a speedy reply from some responsible person (I am fed up listening to people who are passing the information of seniors).
